Is it possible to recover data after formatting the phone. Android data recovery step by step

Accidentally deleted all data from a smartphone on Android? And there were your favorite photos, a selection of tracks and an unread book. Now you don’t know where the pirates buried the treasure! Or is not all lost from memory?

Most often, all information can be returned using one of the methods. And after we return everything, do not forget to “stock up” with a reliable backup program for the future, so that the next time data recovery does not take so much time. Go!

Turn on developer mode and USB debugging

Recover Data Lost from Memory mobile device, occurs when the developer mode is enabled on the Android (Android) side. To activate it, you need:

  • Go to Settings.
  • At the bottom of the data section we find the tab “About the device” and go into it.
  • Select "Build Version".
  • We knock on it 7 times. In this case, the number of touches remaining for activation (after 4 times) is displayed nearby.
  • After that, the operating system displays a message that you have become a developer.
  • Now a new item “For Developers” will appear in the settings of your device.

To continue data recovery, enable the "USB Debugging" mode. This can be done in the new Android settings section.

Features of returning lost information on Android

Regarding the location of the lost information, all recovery methods can be divided into two main categories:

  • Recovery of information deleted from an expansion card (flash drive).
  • Return data erased from internal memory  Android devices.

Increasingly, device models based on this operating system are being released by manufacturers without expansion slots for SD cards. This can be an additional obstacle to the achievement of the main goal - the return of information lost from the phone.

All the “salt” of the problem lies in the fact that access to the internal memory of the device on Android is carried out via the MTP protocol. Because of what connected to personal computer  the device is not recognized by his system as normal uSB drive. Therefore, you need to copy the entire OS of the mobile device to hDD  PC as an image.

Although it is better to use a special softwarewith which you can restore such data. Which will greatly facilitate the implementation of this task.

When returning information lost from a USB flash drive, the whole process goes much easier. The expansion card is connected to the computer through a card reader and the PC system sees it as a removable disk.

We restore information using the 7-Data Android Recovery program

Initially, the program for returning data from Android was completely free, but now it requires "money" for its work. But on the Internet you can easily find an earlier version of this application. Information recovery step by step:

  • Download the program on your PC and install it.
  • We launch it.
  • We activate the “USB Debugging” mode in the phone’s settings.
  • We connect the mobile device on Android to the PC.

After that, the main application window will appear on the computer screen. Now the whole process of returning information lost from the internal memory of a mobile device, will happen on pc:

  • Select the desired source for recovery.
  • Scan the selected drive for deleted, lost or formatted data.
  • Then 7-Data Android  Recovery will display items whose recovery is possible.

An important feature of this program is that it displays all the elements in a structure file system. Thanks to this, you can get acquainted with the contents of the lost folders. And also view deleted images from the memory, listen to music and open text documents.

  • Select items to return.
  • We specify the place to save them (but not the recoverable disk).
  • We get the result.

Described here step-by-step instruction  It is quite suitable for all other similar software products, with the help of which the deleted items are restored from the device’s memory.

In the same way, you can restore information on the expansion card and internal memory using the following applications:

  • HandyRecovery.
  • R-studio.
  • Tenorshare Android Data  Recovery.
  • Hetman Partition Recovery.

Hello, dear friends and subscribers of my blog. In this article, I will describe several ways to restore erased information from your Android device. Yes, yes, we will consider how to restore deleted files  on the android.

The programs that I will talk about are designed for different cases, including the most difficult ones. Data can be restored after formatting the memory card, clearing the memory of the smartphone or tablet, as well as when the device is completely reset to the factory settings (Hard Reset).

First, a little theory. First of all, I would like to say that this instruction, which you will read today, is relevant for this year. This is important, as Android’s work with the internal data store has changed a lot. Some innovations have occurred in updating the android itself. The method of interaction between a computer and a portable device has also become different, hence, as you understand, there are new opportunities for information recovery.

Previously, a gadget connected via USB was recognized by the computer as a regular drive. That is, you could try to recover data using utilities designed for flash drives. Now, you can also use such programs if the files were erased from the memory card, and not from the phone itself. For example, you can take simple program  Recuva, which I wrote about in other articles. Here is one such article for example.

As for modern devices, now most of them are perceived by the operating windows system  and Mac as a media player. In this case, the MTP protocol is responsible for the connection. We will not go into details with you, but you can’t change it, as a result, you can’t connect the phone as a USB device. Because of this, the methods of recovering information that were used several years ago will be irrelevant today. In addition, recover data after full reset  Now it’s also extremely difficult, it all depends on whether they were deleted system files  or not.

In any case, we will try to return your information. Today, I just receive a ton of emails from many users who just ask questions - “How to recover deleted files on an android?”, How to return all data from an android? What to do and how to live now? In general, this issue is relevant at the present time and therefore it is impossible to ignore it.

So, well, it's time to move on to the practical part of our article today. I selected several programs, among which there are both free versionsand paid options. I will inform you in advance about the method of distribution of the application.

IMPORTANT!  There is no guarantee that file recovery will succeed - this also applies hard drive  on the computer.

If your computer does not see the phone, in this article you will find a solution to this problem:

1. We return the lost data using “Wondershare Dr.Fone” (the program is paid, there is a 30-day trial version)

Although the program is paid, the developers offer us a free 30-day version, you can download it from this site.

http://www.wondershare.com/data-recovery/android-data-recovery.html

You will find a detailed video from this program just below.

So, we will recover data from a new phone where Android 4.4.2 is installed. Before you start working with the application, you must perform a preparatory action - debugging via USB, which differs depending on the version:

- For Android 4.2-4.4. You must go to the “Settings” of the phone, then open the “Information about the device” and click several times under the “Build number” section - you need to complete this step until the system says that you are now a developer. Now go to the "Developer Options", which have become active, and start debugging via USB.

- For Android 3.0-4.1. Go to the "Developer Options" and activate the "USB Debugging" function.

For older versions. We go into the main "Parameters", select the "Applications - Developer" section and turn on USB debugging.

Instructions for recovering deleted files

USB debugging is running, now you can proceed to recovery. We connect the device to the computer using the USB cable and run the application.

At the beginning, Dr.Fone activates the automatic detection of a phone or tablet, then the program will ask for permission to download drivers from the Internet, confirm the action. The next step is to confirm debugging from this computer.

After this, the recovery process starts, you need to select the partitions from which important data was deleted.

IMPORTANT!  There is a chance that the application will give the following error:

Do not be alarmed in such a situation. The program reports that you cannot restore data from this gadget, since there are no root rights. In this case, you will have to use another program, since Dr.Phone cannot cope with such a modern device. By the way, you can watch a video on recovering deleted data.

2. Data recovery using the application “ Android Recovery"(There is a free version)

Do the same debugging via USB, which is described just above. In many cases, it is this program that allows you to mainly recover deleted files on android.

So, we connect your gadget with a USB cable to the computer, and then launch “Android Recovery”. Click "Next" and go to the list of drives that are present on your device. It can only be internal memory or a memory card along with internal storage. Select the storage where you want to restore data and click on the "Next" button.

After that, scanning of the storage and identification of deleted information will begin.

Scanning speed depends on the size of the memory card, so the process may take some time. It remains to be patient. After the scan is completed, you will see a list of all files that were formatted, deleted, or lost for other reasons.

Found files and folders appeared in the window - you can try to restore them all at once or in turn. It is worth mentioning the preview function, which works with documents, audio and photo files. You can also open folders before starting recovery.

After selecting the data to restore, you must click the "Save" button to transfer this information to your computer.

3. EASEUS Mobisaver program (free).

This is a fairly convenient application, which differs from paid analogues in a simple interface. It allows you to preview which files on your android device  available for recovery. Then you can save them to your computer. But in order to fully work with the application, you will need Root rights. For some users, formal hacking will be a minus, but for those who have already received Root rights, I recommend using, of course, “EASEUS Mobisaver”.

Concluding today's post “How to Recover Deleted Files on Android”, I hope my instructions in this article have been useful to you and you could easily recover your lost files on your phone!

If you, too, are tired of endless games on Android and want something serious and interesting in terms of software, then now is the time to eliminate all the hindrances that may distract from reading the current review, focus and get ready for something interesting. You know that by deleting a file from a memory card, you can still recover it?

They erased the photo or the video or the document or the archive or something else, were mistaken and now regret the loss? Really sad, because in Android there is no basket where you can extract accidentally deleted files. But, as I wrote earlier, there is still a way to resuscitation. And the Undeleter application will help us in this.

In fact, having deleted the file from the recycle bin or in Android from the memory card, we did not kill it permanently, we only marked the sectors it occupied as free. Now, in the next recording cycle, some other information will be recorded on them. But until that happens, the deleted file can still be recovered.

As the name of the program, Undeleter is a data recovery application, such as Get Data Back, Easy Recovery or Recover4All for PC. Undelete is committed to scanning your memory card, finding everything that needs to be restored and providing you with the appropriate option. Or it will allow you to nail the file completely so that it was already impossible to get it.

After scanning, you can view all the results in bulk or by type: photos, videos, documents, archives. In the settings, it is possible to specify the folder into which we will remove the previously deleted one, activate the use of thumbnails, which greatly simplifies the orientation in the found, you can also select the full-screen mode of operation and send an email to the developers.

I don’t know how often you misfire, that you understand that you literally just said goodbye to something important and necessary. It seems to me that Undeleter will not bother anyone, just like that, just for any fireman. True, such software, which is not surprisingly requires root-rights in the system.
Features:

  • Recover deleted files in any partition
  • Recognition of documents, photos, videos, music, archives and apk
  • Saving recovered files directly to Dropbox and Google drive

Download Undeleter (Recover files deleted from SD cards and internal memory) on Android  You can follow the link below.

  Often users of smartphones and tablets who work on operating system  Android, face the fact that deleted data is very difficult to recover. Erasing something by pure chance, pulling the finger in the wrong direction, or pressing the wrong button, is quite simple. But is it possible to return this information?

Very important documents, or photos dear to the heart, may be deleted. In this case, the question of their restoration lies on the edge. And there really is a way, and it’s very simple.

You need to download the necessary program. There are many of these utilities, but only some of them, thanks to their long-term work, have earned the quality mark and appreciation of users and can guarantee a good result. Here is a list of them:

  • Undeleter;

The list is probably incomplete, but it is the above programs that have the widest arsenal of functions, which, together with a fairly simple interface, brought them an excellent reputation and a large number of positive reviews. All these programs have their own strengths and weaknesses: a number of advantages and some disadvantages.

The program for recovering deleted files on android with the largest baggage of grateful reviews. GT Recovery has earned the reputation of a reliable and high-quality product, the work of which will not be difficult even for a beginner. This utility is very popular among PC users and it is worth noting that on Android it is almost as powerful as its "big brother". It works on smartphones of almost all brands (except Apple and Android), and its use is absolutely free.

A special delight of users is the possibility of high-quality data recovery even when a large amount of time has passed since their loss. Any video, audio or text files  recover in just a few seconds.

The only obvious disadvantage of GT Recovery is that you must have root access to use the program. Yes, it is easily provided by applications of the Odin type, but for an inexperienced user, operations to ensure such access can be difficult.

This program works not only on android smartphones, but also on tablets with identical software. The application is very well structured and allows you to restore information from any folder on the device, takes into account data not only from external and internal storagebut also RAM.

There is a mandatory start scanning process. When a new user first launches 7-Data Android Recovery, a search for problems begins, and later a list of files that can be restored immediately appears.

There is even the ability to preview deleted images. Using this function, you can easily determine the data that needs to be restored without relying solely on its name.

The disadvantage of this application is the most inconvenient interface among the above list, the study of which can take a certain amount of time.

Undeleter

The Undeleter program works in two modes: paid and free. This is a small minus, because all the functionality of the application will become available only to those who are willing to pay for the software.

As for the pluses, one can not help but note the excellent interface. Undeleter has a high-quality search system, convenient viewing of recoverable files. All necessary items are returned to those directories of the mobile device from where they were once deleted. Unlike analogues, this application even works with the data that was extracted even before installing its software.

This application is a kind of GT Recovery analogue. It weighs much less, but the number of its functions is slightly inferior to the opponent. Of all that is in the functionality of GT Recovery, DiskDigger took only the most basic. But he developed this basic, emphasized the power and speed of processing.

Indeed, if data recovery is necessary without compromising quality, then DiskDigger will most likely fail. If you need to recover data that has been lost for a long time, then the situation is identical.

But if you need to return to your smartphone in a blink of an eye what was removed a couple of seconds ago - DiskDigger will do better than others. The utility takes speed and speed. Even despite fierce competition, the program was able to find its user and get good grades in Google play.

As with GT Recovery, the main disadvantage of this application is the need to have root access.

conclusions

All of the above programs differ little from their competitors, but offer the widest range of options:

  1. Quick work;
  2. Convenient interface;
  3. Multifunctionality;
  4. Support for most existing file formats;
  5. High quality recoverable data.

They carry in themselves what it is customary to mean by the word "quality" and offer exactly the "quality" product.

Sometimes on devices with Android it is necessary to carry out the procedure for restoring user data from memory. This may be required after a complete reset on the tablet or when buying a new phone. Below we consider a method that allows you to quickly return all the parameters and files from the internal memory to any of the devices running Android.

Preparing the device for information backup

Various Android applications are available on Google Play for backup and recovery after resetting all current data without exception. For this, not so long ago, it was necessary to obtain superuser or Root rights to the device. However, this action involves a certain risk and loss of warranty..

For modern android versions  In developer mode, you can transfer settings and applications to the computer. The creators of the utility Helium (Carbon) took advantage of this. It backs up data and applications without Root, and the saved files are stored in external, internal memory or in the "cloud". Installation is carried out in the following order:

When launching the application on the device, Helium will try to obtain superuser rights. Since we don’t have Root, the application will go into operation mode without using it, which will be notified in the appropriate window.

After a few seconds, the computer displays information about access to the control. This means that the program has earned. Now you can disconnect the android device from the PC and start making backups. After that, files with all parameters will be saved in the internal memory or on another drive - you can safely carry out the procedure for deleting and resetting any settings.

How to enable developer mode

Do not forget that on your phone in the Android settings should be enabled debugging via USB. The icon for its activation is located in the "Developer Options" folder.

If you do not find one, follow these steps:

  • in the settings, open the "About the device" item, which is usually located in the section with the names "General", "System", etc .;
  • seven times in a row, touch the last line of the section, in which the assembly number is indicated;
  • when the developer mode is activated, exit this section - the corresponding parameters will appear in the shared folder.

It remains only to go into a new directory and activate the ability to debug via USB.

We work with the Helium application

Backing up information in Android using Helium can be done in three ways:

  1. Files are stored in cloud services  Dropbox or Google Drive. This allows not only to recover data, but also to synchronize after deletion different devices  on Android.
  2. Archives are stored in the external or internal memory of the device. This is the fastest way.
  3. The reserved files are transferred to the computer and stored already in its memory, which saves a lot of space on the tablet itself.

The latter recovery method, although convenient, is time consuming and requires a large number  free memory.

Reserving hundreds of applications can take up to 1 hour, while excessive load on Android often leads to the fact that the program crashes.

Also note that some program (there are very few of them yet) may have protection against such copying, so even using Helium, without having superuser rights, it will not be possible to reserve them in memory.

Creating a backup using Helium

Remove the cable from the USB connector when a successful connection message appears - you will no longer need a computer. We have created in this way a one-time connection that will be active until the moment you turn off or restart Android. To restore the channel after the reset, you will need to do the above steps again.

Create a backup in Android:

In the settings you can uncheck or check the box next to the item indicating to save only application settings in the memory without the installation files themselves.

If the function is active, then during the restoration, the program will offer you to go to Google Play to download and install applications that the user has deleted, and then Helium will be able to completely restore their settings.

This saves time during archiving and significantly reduces the size of the save. If you do not use this feature, then all data will be saved - and setup files, and user options. Now, even after uninstalling, any program for Android, even without access to the Network, can be extracted along with all settings, accounts, progress, etc.

Retrieving data from a saved archive

To extract from backup  all saved files and data, you will also need the Helium program installed on the phone:

  1. Launch the android application;
  2. Select the media with the recorded archive and in the list that appears, mark the data for recovery;
  3. Depending on the backup method, you may need to go to Google Play to download the utility, then repeat the first two points;
  4. Click on the restore button, after a while the system will notify you of the successful completion of the process.

The fact that the application works on devices without Root rights does not mean at all that it does not work on a rooted smartphone or tablet. On the contrary, in this case, the backup process to the computer is 3-4 times faster. In addition, for devices with superuser privileges, there are a lot of excellent applications with extensive functionality that allows you to reanimate any deleted, including system data.
