Firmware galaxy note 3 sm n900. New firmware for Nokia N900

Hi everyone, I decided to update the article about flashing our Nokia N900 ... many people need this article, but it is not up to date here - links to downloading files and pictures do not work :(

So let's go ...

The full firmware of the phone is to write two files to the memory of the Nokia N900:

  • 1 file - eMMC image (Vanilla)
  • 2 file - file system (Combined).

Since the official site for nokia firmware  The N900 has not been working for a long time, download everything you need with TMO: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p\u003d1418219&postcount\u003d13 or from the user’s Yandex disk Vasiliy_LiGHT, for which many thanks to him :)

For Ubuntu users of like distributions

First, download the program with which we will flash our Nokia N900 - flasher-3.5. Then we unpack the rar archive and then another tar.gz archive.

Now download the firmware files:

You can rename the first file to 1.bin and the second to 2.bin, respectively, for the convenience of working with them in the terminal.

Turn off the phone!

Put these two files in the unpacked archive directory tar.gz, go there in the terminal and enter the command (first we sew eMMC!):

sudo ./flasher-3.5 -F 1.bin -f

After which you will see the exhaust in the terminal:

flasher v2.5.2 (Oct 21 2009)

Image "mmc", size 255947 kB
   Version RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA

Now connect your off U (she's 7).As you see the USB icon on the N900 screen in the upper right corner, release the U key and look at the kernel flashing process on your Nokia N900.

As the eMMC is flashed, disconnect the N900 from your computer. Now we will sew the second file ...

It is sewn in a similar way, only the whole difference in the command in the terminal. Enter the command:

sudo ./flasher-3.5 -F 2.bin -f -R

flasher v2.5.2 (Oct 21 2009)
  SW version in image: RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_MR0

Image "kernel", size 1705 kB
   Version 2.6.28-20103103 + 0m5
  Image "rootfs", size 185728 kB
   Version RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_MR0
  Image "cmt-2nd", size 81408 bytes
   Version BB5_09.36
  Image "secondary", size 109440 bytes
   Valid for RX-51: 2601, 2602, 2603, 2604, 2605, 2606
   Version 1.4.14.9 + 0m5
Suitable USB device not found, waiting.

Now also connect off  Nokia N900 using a USB cable to a computer, holding a pressed key on the phone U (she's 7). As you see the USB icon on the N900 screen in the upper right corner, release the U key and look at the firmware process file system to your Nokia N900.

At the end of the firmware, your Nokia N900 will turn on and start loading :)

For Windows users

All the same, just download the flasher-3.5 firmware for Windows. Next, put it, throw in its directory those two firmware files (1.bin and 2.bin), open command line  (cmd), go to the flasher-3.5 directory and flash it as in Linux, with the commands:

flasher-3.5.exe -F 1.bin -f

flasher-3.5.exe -F 2.bin -f -R

respectively. Exhausts will be as in Linux.

  2. The USB wire through which you are going to send the phone works fine (through it the firmware goes through Odin correctly, files with a size of 1-15 GB are copied to the internal storage without freezes and dumps) I recommend using USB cable  Samsung U6 or U2.

In addition to the firmware, the SS_DL.dll file may also be in the archive — we do not consider it — this is the remainder of KIES.

Otherwise, your smartphone will turn into a brick if during the firmware you turn off the light. Also, before flashing, you should pay attention to this article by clicking on this link.
