Express Gate (EG) is a specialized utility from ASUS. It is built into the motherboards created by this organization. The program is a kind of analogue of the operating system, in which there is access only to network functions. With it, you can go online or run a chat client even before loading the "main" OS.

How to enable or disable?

Notebooks that originally have this application installed have two buttons: one for launching the "main" operating system, the other for EG. The Express Gate has a running man logo. This is indicated on the button.

The utility is not available in all system ASUS boards. But it can be downloaded from the official website of this company or you can find the installer in a search engine. To do this, write in it the name of the program along with the word "download".

Some models do not support it. The motherboard should say that it is compatible with EG. When downloading the utility from third-party resources, it can be installed on HDD or flash drive.

If you do not have a suitable button to launch EG, but when you turn on the computer, the message “Loading ASUS Express Gate” appears by itself, what does this mean? How to remove it?

In most cases this program does not interfere with "standard" work with a PC. It is very easy to get out of it - just press the shutdown button on the menu bar. But sometimes the utility gives errors or does not load at all. In this case, it is better to turn it off. You can activate or deactivate it through the BIOS - this is the internal system of the motherboard, which contains the settings for devices and controllers. Here is how to work with EG through said program:

In the Express Gate itself, click on the BIOS Setup button.
You can also start the BIOS immediately after turning on the computer. You have to press a certain key. It depends on the model smart car. For ASUS boards, this is "Delete". Which button to call the BIOS is usually written on the initial boot screen of the system. At the bottom there should be a line like "Press DEL to enter Setup" ("Press DEL to enter the settings").
The interface will be English language. You need to navigate through sections and items using the arrows on the keyboard. And to enter the menu or select a parameter, press Enter.
Go to the "Tools" tab.
Find the line "Express Gate".
There you can set a timer - the time that is given to the choice of the OS.

To apply the changes, press the "F" key or go to the "Exit" tab. Before exiting, the utility will ask you if you want to save the settings. Select "Save" to confirm.

How to use?

In Express Gate Cloud, all options are displayed clearly. They are a "cloud" of widgets. In fact, this is a set of buttons with labels and images. If you click on "Chat", the chat client will open, if you click on the player, respectively, the player will turn on.

The appearance of the interface may vary depending on the version of the program and the model of the motherboard. In some utilities, all objects are static, in some you have to scroll through them, like pages or desktops on touch displays. In the configuration settings, you can change the date and time, select the application language, connection type (Wi-Fi, LAN or DSL).

They brought my laptop to work today. Asus UL30A for me to install there software. In this laptop (or rather, in the laptop motherboard), such a “trick” is implemented from Asus How Asus Express Gate. Once I read about it, now I have the opportunity to look at it in real conditions.

Two words about what Asus Express Gate. Essentially, it is a mini-kernel-based operating system. linux which is built into the motherboard. Possibilities Asus Express Gate allow you to view photos, go online, listen to music, chat on Skype. Loading Express Gate really in 8 seconds, as promised by the most Asus. On the panel above the keyboard, two power buttons are displayed: one for standard turning on the laptop, and the second, respectively, for booting Express Gate.
