The RIG600 ear cushions completely wrap around the ear, rather than resting on top of it. The advantage of this system is that the pressure is distributed directly to the skull, the ears do not get tired. The inner diameter of the ear cushions is about 50 mm, so there is more than enough space. There is also enough space for the auricles in depth.

The headband can be adjusted up to 70mm, so it is also suitable for users with a large head. To facilitate adjustment, the bow has chamfers, but they do not very reliably hold a given position. Therefore, the adjustment of the temple can get lost when, for example, you take off or put on headphones.

We liked the texture and perforation of the ear cushions. As a result, the ears under the cups do not heat up, the air continues to circulate. The ear cushions are relatively soft and adapt well to the surface of the head. But if you wear glasses, we recommend that you try on your headphones before purchasing. The bows can create a "leakage area" of sound, so the insulation will not be as good.

Overall, the RIG600 headphones are very comfortable. A weight of about 250 grams is also acceptable.

Sound quality

We liked the sound of the RIG600 equipped with 40mm drivers. As usual, we tested the headphones on the reference track "Forgiven not Forgotten". Low frequencies were quite powerful, but not excessively, the mids were balanced. The voice pleases with good detail, high frequencies are also felt. Our reference composition is quite rich, but the headphones did not lose balance. However, in direct comparison with the previously tested ones, the difference was still noticeable, and not in favor of the RIG600. With the more expensive Sennheiser headphones, we got more detail and better dynamics.

Plantronics has achieved good noise isolation in the headphones. The design is closed, so outside noise does not penetrate inside. In general, we liked the sound of the Plantronics stereo headphones, especially when used for games. The headphones reproduce the smallest details and convey the direction well, which allows you to detect the enemy in time.

Omni-directional boom microphone included. It also showed its best side, the noise suppression function worked convincingly. Therefore, nothing will interfere with communication with your team in the game. We didn't notice the only drawback right away - the volume control. Honestly, the manufacturer would not hurt to add the ability to adjust the volume directly on the headphones. I didn’t like the cable either, because it’s ordinary plastic, without a fabric braid. However, taking into account the price, you can put up with this.
