Lenovo has seen a major addition to its line of budget Android devices last year. Almost at the same time, a well-known Chinese manufacturer released several interesting tablets, the most inexpensive of which was TAB3 7. Due to the relatively small 7-inch display, it looks a bit like a phablet and is positioned as a mobile device for the whole family due to its unusual functionality.
For example, the tablet is capable of working in multi-user mode, which allows different people to log in under their account and view mail, search for information on the network or spend time playing games without fear that someone else can gain access to their personal information. What else is ready to surprise Lenovo TAB3 7?
Lenovo TAB3 7 Tablet Specifications:
- Display diagonal: 7.0 inches, DPI 194, IPS, resolution 1024 × 600 (HD), (capacitive multi-touch 5 points of touch);

Equipment.
In the box with the tablet you will find: 1 Amp charger, microUSB - USB cable for charging and data transfer, and documentation.
Appearance and ergonomics.
The tablet will not please with a particularly refined or innovative design. Still, it is worth remembering that this is, first of all, a budget mobile device, and not a fashionable premium gadget. But the build quality is excellent - no backlash and squeaks. And TAB3 7 looks, though not too bright, but strictly and neatly.
The body of the device is dust and moisture resistant (confirmed by IP52 certificate) and is made of high quality plastic. The front panel is almost completely occupied by the screen, only in its upper part are the front camera lens and a small speaker. The manufacturer placed the main camera on the non-removable rear cover. Headphone and charging jacks are hidden at the top, and the microphone is at the bottom.
The power and volume control buttons are located on the right "edge" of the gadget, which only increases its similarity to smartphones. The left side of TAB3 7 is decorated with the manufacturer's logo, which hides a SIM card slot (or just one of them plus a memory card).
Display.
Lenovo TAB3 7 has a 7-inch IPS-screen with support for a resolution of 1024x600. Despite the modest cost of the tablet, the quality of the display is not inferior to more expensive competitors. The stock of brightness is enough to use the gadget even in the sun or in a room with a lot of lighting fixtures.
And if you wish, you can customize the screen and save your favorite combination of contrast and other settings under your account.
OS and interface.
The device works thanks to OS Android sixth version. The manufacturer did not radically change the "operating system" familiar to many, but only added a little proprietary software and some features. The most important option in the tablet software is support for multiplayer mode, thanks to which several family members can take turns using the gadget.
At the same time, they will not "knock down" each other's settings and get confused when viewing mail or surfing the web, since a smart device remembers such nuances and writes them into an account. That is, it is enough to enter your username and password to change many parameters from the previous user to your own.
Performance.
As befits a budget mobile device, Lenovo TAB3 7 is built on a modest, but still good performance base. Its heart is a 4-core processor MediaTek MT 8735, working in conjunction with a gigabyte of RAM, and sixteen "gigs" of memory on board. The Mali-400MP is responsible for the graphics in the tablet - albeit not the most powerful chip, but still its capabilities are quite enough to run most applications and a huge number of games (for example, GTA San Andreas).
The tablet can easily be used as a GPS navigator. The space for storing data in the device can easily be increased by another thirty-two gigabytes, if one of the SIM card slots is occupied by a MicroSD memory card.
In terms of communications, the gadget supports networks of the second, third and fourth generations. He also has Bluetooth 4.0 and a Wi-Fi module. And the 3450 mAh battery, according to the manufacturer, will last for nine hours of battery life.
Camera.
Cameras are one of the weakest points in Lenovo TAB3 7. There is not much to say about them:
- main with a matrix of five megapixels;
- frontal with a resolution of two megapixels.
This set is enough for taking the simplest pictures and recording short videos, but only in good lighting conditions, since there are simply no flashes in the device.
Sound.
The external speaker in the tablet is very simple and quiet. So you shouldn't count on high-quality and clear sound when playing music through it. But in good headphones Lenovo TAB3 7 produces quite acceptable low, mid and high frequencies. And it's nice to watch movies on the tablet - according to a good tradition, like many other devices from the company, it supports Dolby Atmos technology, which makes the sound volumetric and rich.
Pros:
- Great price tag;
- High-quality assembly;
- Ability to work for several users in turn;
- The presence of a child mode, in which not only access to web resources is configured, but also the access time, with the possibility of limiting it to several hours in a certain period of time.
Minuses:
- Weak cameras;
- Simple design. 2017-06-04T07: 59: 04 + 00: 00
Thank you for your opinion. Perhaps you are right, but I try to look at a mobile device from different angles in order to convey to the potential buyer all its strengths and weaknesses.

For the money for which it is sold, this is quite a decent and competitive tablet. As for the shortcomings you noted in the form of weak cameras, then for a tablet this function is secondary and few people buy a tablet in order to shoot or photograph. The tablet has other functions that are much more important.

And we gave such a little brother as a mini-replacement for a pc. Convenient, compact and conducive to learning and entertainment. There is LTE, a very necessary function - it allows you to access the Internet both by connecting to wi-fi, and by inserting a SIM card. A decent battery, as much as 3450 mAh - enough for us for study and entertainment. You cannot make calls from the tablet, there is no built-in GSM module.
The tablet Lenovo Tab 7 Essential TB-7304i (ZA310031RU) in black is equipped with 2 cameras: front and 2 megapixel main. There is a video function with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Autofocus allows you to take high-quality pictures. The model runs on Android 7.0 operating system.
A device for study and work
The screen is created on the basis of an IPS-matrix, so the device has a wide viewing angle. Display diagonal - 7 inches, resolution - 1024x600 pixels. Multi-touch function recognizes multiple touches at the same time, automatic screen orientation rotates the image to follow the tablet. Main technical content:
- 4-core Mediatek processor with a clock frequency of 1.1 GHz;
- 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory;
- built-in speaker and microphone;
- gPS satellite navigation support.
Internal memory is expandable up to 128GB via micro-cards. The device supports Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 4.1 communication. Calls can be made thanks to the cellular card slot.
The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 3450 mAh and allows the device to be in talk mode for up to 10 hours. The body is made of black plastic, the dimensions are 10x19x1 cm.
Unfortunately, the product is currently not available for purchase. You will be able to buy "Lenovo Tab 7 Essential TB-7304i ZA310031RU Black tablet" in Moscow upon admission. Sign up for a notification and we'll let you know the price when the item is back in stock.
