In most cases, you can get to it without disassembling the CD mechanism. sometimes it’s more convenient to do this by setting the laser head in the extreme position. In some cases, disassembly is required. We find a suitable screwdriver. We remember in what position is the resistor slider.

  • 3.1. Slowly carefully rotate the resistor slider about 1-2 degrees clockwise;
  • 3.2. Then we connect all the cables and wires (if they were disconnected);
  • 3.3. We install a disk with a format that was not read in this unit or was read intermittently. Press “PLAY”. If the device did not read discs at all, it is recommended to install an Audio CD format disc;
  • 3.4.Wait for 20-30 seconds (let the laser focus);
  • 3.5. If it does not help, repeat paragraph 3.1-3.4.
  • 3.6.If repeating paragraphs 3.1-3.4 several times (usually from 2 to 5) does not lead to any results, it is advisable to return the resistor slider to the position in which it was before adjustment and perform the same operations only by turning it counterclockwise.

After several such settings, you can quickly configure the laser in 1-2 minutes without any problems, without special measuring equipment and without a service manual-service manual.

If all else fails, your laser head is probably completely out of order. But as a rule, this happens very rarely. Any laser that has become very hardened can be made to read at least Audio CDs.

If the player does not turn on
