Change the default Android notification tone

- A list of different notification sounds will appear. Click on any option to listen to it and then click on the "OK" icon to confirm the selection.
Depending on your Android version and phone manufacturer, the name of this setting may differ slightly, or you may have to look elsewhere. For example, on LG G4, which has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, you need to open the settings, then select "Sounds and notifications", then - "Ringtone".
Change notification sounds for apps
Apps like Facebook or Gmail have their own notification sounds and you can easily change them. Note that the procedure may differ depending on the application. We'll take WhatsApp as an example:
- Open the WhatsApp app.
- Click on the three dots icon in the upper right corner of the display.
- Click on "Settings", then on "Notifications".

Creating your own notification sounds on Android

Connect your Android smartphone to your PC, open the main internal storage folder and then go to the Notifications folder. If for some reason such a folder does not exist, you can create it. STEP 1:

STEP 2:
Now we need to install the root explorer app to view the firmware folders in the mobile phone.
If you already have root explorer app installed on your mobile, you can go to STEP3.
If you do not have this application installed on your mobile phone, you can install the following application called “ root browser”, Which is a free application:

STEP 3:
Now we need to go to the Media folder, which contains all the built-in ringtones and notification sounds that the phone plays. To go to the Media folder, open the Root Browser app and navigate to the following folder:
system -> multimedia -> audio
Under " audio», You will see the following folders:
- Notifications
- Ringtones
"Notifications»Contains all the sound clips that you see when you try to customize the sound of notifications in the phone settings. Sound clips are stored in OGG format. You can delete any audio clip you want, or replace the existing .ogg file with any new .ogg file you want. If you want, you can paste new .ogg files into this folder and this new sound will appear in your phone settings when you try to change the message notification sound.
"Ringtones”Contains all the built-in ringtones that you see when you try to customize your mobile phone ringtone using your phone settings. As mentioned above, you can add, remove or replace existing .ogg files.
"ui”Contains all system sounds such as camera shutter sound, low battery warning, charger connection, dialer, keyboard type, power on / off, etc. You can delete any sound clip you want or replace it with any desired .ogg file ...
PS: If you want to mute a specific sound, such as the phone startup sound (power on) or the charger plugging in sound, instead of deleting the corresponding .ogg file, you can simply rename the file. This will turn off this sound on your mobile phone immediately. In the future, if you want to re-enable this sound, you can restore the name of this .ogg fie.
Hey! Quite recently, you and I installed our own ringtone on the iPhone and, despite all the difficulties, we still managed to do it. But after all, a person's tastes are constantly changing - for example, I am already tired of the song that I recently set to ring. I want, you know, something new!
Well, it's not a problem to create something new (), but what to do with an old ringtone that is no longer needed? There are not so many options - leave or delete. If left, it will take up precious internal memory. Therefore, we will delete. And here again, Apple is not as it should be with people.
Why? Because it's not serious at all ...
You can't just grab and delete a ringtone from your iPhone. Well, there is no such option in the iPhone settings!
But how then to be? Now I will tell and show everything. Go!
We will consider only the official method (without jailbreaks and other nonsense). After all, jailbreak is practically "dead", and this method of removing ringtones will live forever :)

So, I have two "extra" ringtones in my iPhone:
- Made and downloaded by yourself via iTunes.

Task: remove these ringtones.
Now let's go for sure!
Step 1 (connect iPhone to iTunes). There shouldn't be any problems here - we take a wire (preferably the original one), connect the iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes.
Step 2 (very important point!). After launching iTunes, click on the phone image in the upper left corner.
And then, at the very bottom, set a checkmark in front of the item "Process music and video manually" and click "Apply".
Step 3 (open sound controls)... We do not go anywhere and look at the left side menu - we are interested in the "Sounds" line. We select it - a list of all ringtones that have been downloaded to your iPhone appears on the right.
Step 4 (remove ringtones)... Click on any of these ringtones with the right mouse button, select "Remove from Library" and click "Synchronize".
Everything! We take the iPhone in hand, open "Settings - Sounds, tactile signals - Ringtone" and see that this sound is no longer there. Hooray! Although…

- Try to install a different build of iTunes. The fact is that the latest versions of the program (12.7 and "older") are "stripped down" - Apple has removed many functions from them. Therefore, and already with its help, we are trying to delete the ringtone.
- Try to erase the sound using the same program through which it was originally loaded into the iPhone. Because if the ringtone was installed using a third-party program (for example, iFunBox), then iTunes may not be able to cope with the removal of such melodies.
