Wyrmstooth - readme file. Wyrmstooth - readme Skyrim Fang Wyrm walkthrough

The Eastern Empire Company hires Dovahkiin to destroy the dragon that is interfering with trade in Skyrim. But could it be that the flying monster is wreaking havoc for a reason, perhaps it is part of something much more sinister?

A masterfully directed and fully voiced questline will take you out of Skyrim and travel to the large island of Serpent's Tooth. You will have to fight your way through new lands and dungeons and win a difficult battle.

The quest is intended for players of level 10 and above who have advanced through the main storyline of Skyrim (they must be summoned by the Greybeards). The Imperial Messenger, Theodine Bien, will deliver you a letter asking you to report to the Prancing Mare Tavern in Whiterun. The task seems simple - you need to defeat the troublesome dragon. But, perhaps, on the way to solving it, there will be complications ...

Key Features:

  • A new quest line topped with an impressive battle with a dragon.
  • A new, hand-made huge island with many places of interest, which will be explored with a map of the island with markers.
  • Together with three new companions, fight through one of the largest dungeons in Tamriel.
  • Solve the riddle by subduing the mind of the draugr!
  • Equip an abandoned imperial fort and make it your new home.
  • Over 30 new unique characters.
  • 17 new quests: 2 from the main storyline and 15 side quests.
  • Over 200 voiced lines of dialogue.
  • Portable bear traps, which you can buy from Jah Shavi-Dar.
  • Bardic instruments that you can play.
  • New Shout: Fiik Lo Sah (Phantom Form)
  • New spells to summon draugr and a number of others.
  • New ingredients.
  • New musical compositions.

Installation:

1. Unpack the contents of the archive into your "Skyrim / Data" folder. The following are possible paths to this folder:
... \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ skyrim \ data

2. Make sure the following files are present in the "Data" folder:

  • Wyrmstooth.esp
  • Wyrmstooth.bsa
  • Wyrmstooth.ini

3. Launch Skyrim Launcher or your plugin manager and include the "Wyrmstooth.esp" file.

4. Start the game.

5. To start the quest, wait until Theodine Bien (Imperial Messenger) finds you, or talk to Luriy Lior, who can be found in The Prancing Mare, in Whiterun.

Q: Ok, the mod is installed. How to start a quest line?

A: The quest starts as soon as you reach level 10 and your character is summoned by the Greybeards as part of the Skyrim main storyline. An imperial messenger named Theodine Bien will find you. He exits the Prancing Mare in Whiterun and walks towards you. You will surely cross with him if you head to Whiterun along one of the main roads. You can also just wait 24 hours in any of the main cities and it will find you. However, no matter where you are, he will eventually get to you.

Q: I cannot find either Theodine Bien. Is there another way to start the quest?

A: You can skip this stage by talking directly to Luria Lior in The Prancing Mare, in Whiterun, if you meet the quest requirements described above (your character is level 10 or higher and has already been summoned by the Greybeards). Lurius Lior does not leave The Prancing Mare, so you can easily find him.

Q: I can't find either Theodine Bienne or Luria Lior in The Prancing Mare. How to start a quest?

A: Open the console with the ~ key and run the following command (type the text, press Enter and close the console with the ~ key):

setstage wtdragonhunt 10

This team will start the Dragon Hunt quest. Use the quest marker to find Luria. It also makes sense to disable all mods that change the Prancing Mare tavern, as they can remove markers needed for both Wyrmstooth and Skyrim to function.

Q: The command setstage wtdragonhunt 10 gave nothing.

A: If after executing the console command the quest does not start, then Wyrmstooth is installed incorrectly. Make sure the Wyrmstooth.esp file is included, also read the installation section.

Q: When entering or exiting the Snaketooth Mound location, it crashes to the desktop or the game freezes.

A: Make sure the Wyrmstooth.ini file is present in the Data folder. This ini file has been corrected to prevent this error.

Q: I previously disabled grass in the game settings, but after installing the mod, it appeared again.

A: The game engine contains a bug due to which grass is not displayed in any worlds added by custom mods. The fix is included in the Wyrmstooth.ini file, but if you want to turn off the grass display to improve performance, open the mentioned file and change the line bAllowCreateGrass = 1 to bAllowCreateGrass = 0. You will find the Wyrmstooth.ini file in the Data folder.

Q: We arrived at Serpent's Tooth, but something went wrong. Luria doesn't move or say anything, or he wanders between Serpent's Tooth Port and Fort Lunar Watch.

A: Something went wrong and the quest scene in the port did not start. Ignore Luria and follow to the mound, as soon as you read the robber's diary, the quest will be updated and, after some time, Luria, along with the mercenaries, will be next to you.

Q: How can I get back to Skyrim from Serpent's Tooth?

A: You can use the new map markers for fast travel. These markers will appear after the first arrival on the island.

Q: Sometimes Luria stays in The Prancing Mare, although he should be in Solitude.

A: If the bard plays a song in the tavern, then Luria could join the audience. Just ask the bard to rest and Luria will go where he should.

Q: How to open the passage down in the crypt?

A: As soon as all the draugrs in the final room are destroyed, the passage downward will open automatically. Occasionally, the remaining draugr counter can be violated if you resurrect a slain draugr. In addition, next to the "boss" sarcophagus, you will find a lever that also opens the grate blocking the way down, and the treasury.

Q: After falling into Frost Mist, my companion was lost.

A: The companions will join you again after you return to the surface using the Dwemer elevator.

Q: Albertor is not helping me through the closed gate.

A: Updating Wyrmstooth while it is running may break Albertor's trigger. Run the console command:

setstage wtbarrowofthewyrm 130

Then talk to Albertor again. He should mention a "little problem". Completing the quests "Swaddle Me" or "Intruders" will not help him open the bars.

Q: The game freezes when loading the location Frosty Mist - Luminatorium.

A: Try temporarily lowering the graphics settings of the game until you meet the dragon and rise to the surface. Certain graphic mods or ini settings may affect the loading of a given interior. If you made fixes to the ini file to remove the flickering of the LOD terrain, then you may need to revert the values.

Q: After arriving at Serpentine Tooth, the game periodically crashes.

A: Some sound mods can cause similar problems. It looks like this is a bug of the engine, when, when an attempt to read an audio file is unsuccessful, the game simply ends with an error.

Q: I cannot talk to the she-wolf, Faylora.

A: Known issue. I think that the actor's state is not "reset" after the fight. One of the solutions is to make a quick trip to any neighboring location, and then return back. Alternatively, run the disable and enable console commands on Faylor. The Unofficial Skyrim Patch seems to solve this problem.

Q: Luria does not take me to the Serpentine Tooth, after talking with him in Solitude, he leaves.

A: This issue is caused by the fact that you updated the mod after starting the Dragon Hunt quest, but before completing the Serpent Mound quest. Do not update Wyrmstooth until the main storyline is complete.

The Eastern Empire Company hires Dovahkiin to destroy the dragon that is interfering with trade in Skyrim. But could it be that the flying monster is wreaking havoc for a reason, perhaps it is part of something much more sinister?

On 64-bit versions of Windows:
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ skyrim \ data

2. Make sure the following files are present in the "Data" folder:

If you have already started playing the early version of Wyrmstooth, then it is recommended to complete the "Serpent Mound" quest before updating.

If you make any changes to the ini file, always back it up or document the changes, even if they are minor.
