Amazing Grass - Retextures and Replayers - Mods and plugins for TES V: Skyrim Special Edition. Amazing grass - Retextures and replayers - Mods and plugins for TES V: Skyrim Special Edition Mod for more grass in Skyrim

This mod was originally created as an add-on to the Unique Grasses and Groundcovers mod. His goal was to make the grass thicker. But the author added some SFO herbs and Unbelievable grasses, which ended up with a new plugin.

This mod adds thick grass to the vastness of Skyrim, tk. the author believes that the fields in the game should look exactly like this. The mod uses the settings from Grass on Steroids, so people with medium and weak cars can see much less FPS drop than some other grass mods give. The mod also includes a 512 texture version for extra performance.

This mod uses herbs from SFO, Unique Grasses, Unbelievable Grass, Tamriel Reloaded - Grass and Hoddminir's Flowers, but is standalone and does not require any additional plugins to be installed.

CONFIGURING INITS:

SkyrimPrefs.ini

bShadowsOnGrass = 0

Skyrim.ini

fGlobalContrastBoost = -0.2

fGlobalContrastBoost = -0.2
bAllowCreateGrass = 1
bAllowLoadGrass = 0
fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance = 35000.0000

iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure = 15
iMinGrassSize = 60

SkyrimPrefs.ini

bShadowsOnGrass = 0
fGrassStartFadeDistance = 35000.0000
fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance = 20000.0000
fGrassMinStartFadeDistance = 0.0000

COMPATIBILITY

  • - Skyrim Flora Overhaul - Verdant only affects grass, so there won't be any problem with trees from SFO, but make sure the plugin is BELOW SFO in load order and INSTALL IT AFTER SFO, otherwise the grass will look weird.
  • - Dark Fantasy Overhaul - compatible; just install Verdant after this mod.
  • - Unique Flowers and Plants - also compatible, but be sure to install Verdant after this mod.

THIS MEANS THAT IN GENERAL ALL FASHIONS ON GRASS ARE INCOMPATIBLE ...
if you are not sure, just don't put them. If you still want to use some grass mods, then download them AFTER this mod and agree to overwrite the files.

The mod is optimized as much as possible for the best performance.

  • I'M USING SFO - How do I make it compatible with Verdant?
Install it AFTER Skyrim Flora Overhaul and let Verdant files overwrite SFO files. Then put Verdant BELOW SFO in your download list and it should work fine.
Or uncheck esp SFO and use only the tree module.
  • HUGE FPS DROP. WHAT CAN I DO?
First, have you changed the grass settings in the .ini files? You can find these files in Documents \ My Games \ Skyrim

Skyrim.ini:

iGrassCellRadius = 2
bAllowCreateGrass = 1
bAllowLoadGrass = 0
bGrassPointLighting = 1
b30GrassVS = 0
iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure = 15
iMinGrassSize = 70

Skyrimprefs.ini

b30GrassVS = 0
fGrassStartFadeDistance = 9000.0000
fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance = 9000.0000
fGrassMinStartFadeDistance = 400.0000
  • GRASS WILL CROW THROUGH THINGS LIKE STONES!
Nothing can be done except load the mod into the constructor and manually remove every blade of grass in every stone. Any grass from any mod will crawl through things.

CAN YOU MAKE THIS MOD COMPATIBLE WITH THE X VILLAGE / TOWN EXPANSION MOD? THE GRASS WILL PASS THROUGH EVERYTHING ...
No, I will not do any compatibility patches, most likely simply because I am not using any of these mods. You can make your own compatibility patches.

Install using any convenient mod manager
(Nexus Mod Manager, Mod Organizer, Wrye Bash, etc.)
Connect the plugin in the launcher.

To simplify installation, the mod now includes an ini-file with settings for grass

Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin SSE Version.ini

If you are experiencing performance issues, change the parameter
iMinGrassSize =

OPTIONAL

The mod adds grass to the game for all regions of Skyrim, basically, the mod uses the same mesh grass files, but with different textures, for different regions of Skyrim. Some grass textures have 2k high resolution (2048x2048) and 1k resolution (1024x1024) and low resolution (512x512). Added different types of grass from different mods for more variety. This mod can be used in conjunction with the Skyrim Flora Overhaul mod (if using the Trees Only mod option from Skyrim Flora Overhaul). The mod also has a significant performance impact. My GTX960 card tried to keep 60 fps with this mod and Skyrim Flora Overhaul in some areas, especially in the forests around Falkreath and some areas in the aspen forests around Riften. I recommend using this mod if you have a good graphics card.

You can customize the values yourself in the Unbelievable Grass Two.ini file
- Open the Unbelievable Grass Two.ini file

iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure = 10 -> this parameter is very important!
iMinGrassSize = 50

A value of 50 is the default and provides a very high density of grass. A higher value will result in less density and therefore better performance. You can change the value to 75 or 100, this will increase performance, but the grass will not look as intended, since the mod is designed so that the grass looks lush and thick, a value of 50 is recommended, but this is just a recommendation, to change which value to leave, it's only up to to you.

Examples:
iMinGrassSize = 20 - extreme density (for powerful computers)
iMinGrassSize = 30 - best density
iMinGrassSize = 50 - less grass density
iMinGrassSize = 75 and higher - even less grass density

Requirements:

Skyrim SE 1.1.47.0.8 and higher

What's in the archive:
Core - the basis, be sure to set (these are meshes and Unbelievable Grass Two.esp and Unbelievable Grass Two.ini)
High - a productive option, textures 2048x2048 and 1024x1024
Low - productive option, textures 512x512
ClipFix - Fix correcting clipping of textures of grass that grows through roads and in some locations. Recommended!

HIGH: Productive option (textures 2048x2048 and 1024x1024)
- This option will provide a high density of grass, but have less impact on the performance of your system. This version is based on the health and tweaks from the Grass on Steroids mod, it will eventually be possible to have high grass and grass density with playable performance. It is required to change the line iMinGrassSize = 50 and higher in the .ini file - absolutely recommended for mid-level systems

LOW: Productive option (textures 512x512)
- Same as PERFORMANCE EDITION, only textures are lightweight as 512x512

Hello.

Updated from 1.2 to 2.0.

Yes, that's right, grass. No, I haven't completely fucked up. I present to your attention a mod that will change your attitude to the visual component of Skyrim - grass. For those who have not seen these good times, let me remind you: In Oblivion, you could adjust the amount of grass by simply editing the ini-file, the FPS sagged to a sloppy slideshow (especially at the time of the game's release), but it looked great - the grass swayed, the corpses of bandits were absorbed a moving living carpet and all the things. Skyrim, although made according to the same principle, does not have such a feature - the grass here is a stunted bush. On the one hand, this is understandable, the northern edge, after all, cold, dragons are burning ... But on the other, I want simple and ordinary beauty, and in Bruma the grass grew quite well. So watch the screenshots, think and, if you are not a botanophobe, give it a try. Personally, I recommend it. With a mod for realistic lighting or with a sensible ENB - the picture will get downright fabulous. Two minuses
“You’ll find the corpse of a bandit at night.
- On weak computers, you can arrange a slide show.

Installation: First, edit Skyrim.ini (documents \ my games or use the search). In the value we change:
bAllowCreateGrass = 1
bAllowLoadGrass = 0
iMinGrassSize = here we set a value from 20 (for powerful systems) to 40-60 (for medium). You can try other numbers. It looks like this for me:
bAllowCreateGrass = 1
bAllowLoadGrass = 0
iMinGrassSize = 40
Further, in the archive you will find several folders, be guided by the screenshots (archive for NMM, but no one forbids installing with paws).

Screenshots:

The Incredible Grass 2 mod adds many different types of grass throughout Skyrim, from Reach to Whiterun Hold and the forest around Falkreath. The mod has two versions: performance and ultra. The ultra version provides an extraordinary density of grass, but has a strong performance impact, and is only recommended for top-end iron owners. The productive version will provide a lower density of grass, but the load on the iron will be much less (using performance tweaks from Grass on Steroids).

Performance version:
Provides a high density of grass, does not significantly affect performance. Contains tweaks from Grass on Steroids, high herb density, but still playable. In Skyrim.ini, set iMinGrassSize = 50 or higher - absolutely recommended for mid-range systems.

Installation:
1. Install using NNM or another mod manager.
2. Install manually:
- First, the main files from the Core folder.
- Then choose a texture resolution between High (high: 1024x1024 - 2048x2048) and Low (low: 512).
- It is recommended to install files from the ClipFix folder, they fix the passage of grass through roads and surface locations.

Ultra version:
Provides a high density of grass, greatly affects performance, you need top-end hardware, but the picture looks amazing. Album with screenshots.

Required (Skyrim.ini):
iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure = 10
iMinGrassSize = 20 +

Compatibility:
The mod is compatible with most modifications, excluding modifications that affect grass. If you want to use Skyrim Flora Overaul together with this modification, then install this mod after SFO and in the order of loading put it after SFO, so that it overwrites the changes made by SFO. If using Mod Organizer then give this mod a higher priority than SFO.

Required Skyrim.ini settings
1. Open your skyrim.ini in the folder "My Documents \ My Games \ Skyrim"
2. Modify the following lines in the section:

bAllowCreateGrass = 1
bAllowLoadGrass = 0
iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure = 10 -> this setting is very important!
iMinGrassSize = 50 or higher for the Extreme version / iMinGrassSize = 55 or more for the Production version - be sure to set the settings for the version you are using. The higher the value, the lower the grass density (higher productivity), the lower the value, the higher the grass density (lower productivity).
