Programs for karaoke. Programs for karaoke on pc Karaoke at home on pc

The term "karaoke" was formed as a result of the merger of two abbreviated Japanese words: "kara" (from "karappo" - empty) and "oke" (from "okesutura" - orchestra). It is generally accepted that karaoke first appeared a little over two decades ago in one of the restaurants in the Japanese town of Kobe. When for some reason the full-time musician did not come to the bar in the evening, the owners of the establishment turned on the tape recorder with recordings of his compositions - and the visitors sang familiar songs with pleasure. Soon, enterprising owners realized that this entertainment can earn good money. After some time, karaoke quickly spread in Japan, and then around the world.
In this article, we will look at the main players used to play karaoke on a PC.

Karaoke Galaxy Player (GalaKar) 4.1

Shareware (registration - $ 14.95, for the Russian Internet - the phrase "KARAOKE IN RUSSIAN")

Verdict

Size 867KB

Freeware for Russian-speaking users; the ability to extract words to a text file; playlist support; text display setting

No volume control directly from the player; messy work with background images

This player belongs to the number of shareware products, but the authors made a real gift for the Russian-speaking part of the Internet - the legalization of the program can be done completely free of charge. To do this, right-click on the player itself and select Show preferences from the context menu; then in the GALAKAR player properties window, go to the MIDI tab, press the Register now button and in the window that appears, enter the phrase “RUSSIAN KARAOKE” in capital letters. After entering the registration code, you will need to restart the player.

The application supports all basic functions for playing karaoke files. On the Lyrics tab, you can change not only the font and color of the text, but also the number of displayed lines and even the number of characters in them. But we did not succeed in getting the player to work correctly with background images - the program stubbornly did not want to change the background through the specified number of filled lines.

The advantages of the player, of course, include work with playlists, the ability to change skins (sets of additional covers and background pictures are easy to find on the site www.karaoke.ru , extract words from KAR files and save them to a separate text file. The last property will be very useful for those who want to play their favorite song on a dedicated MIDI synthesizer or on a mobile phone that supports polyphonic polyphony and loading MIDI files.By the way, to ensure the correct transfer of karaoke files to the mentioned devices, it is enough to change the KAR extension to MID.

Among the serious disadvantages of the program, we note the lack of sound volume control directly from the player. Alas, one cannot count on the fact that this shortcoming will be eliminated in the near future - the product has not been updated since the beginning of 2001.

The GalaKar player is included in the RussianKaraoke Office package, which includes convenient tools for downloading files from the Karaoke.Ru portal, an advanced song search system, a utility for synchronizing downloaded files, an application for creating a catalog of your songs in Microsoft Word format, and a karaoke quick start program -files by song number. In addition, the package allows you to remember playback parameters (tonality and tempo). Its disadvantage is that only karaoke files from the Karaoke.Ru portal can be added to the database.

Verdict

Developer vanBasco Software

Size 796KB

Free; ease and simplicity in work; Russian language support; a window for quick selection of a composition; hotkey support; song scan mode

Does not allow saving words to a separate text file

This program has many advantages. First, it is absolutely free. Secondly, after installing the vanbasco_russian.exe module, available for download at www.vanbasco.com/karaokeplayer/languages.html (it was written by Alexander Kashchavtsev, a student from Kharkov), this player will fully support the Russian language. Thirdly, it allows you to use a fairly convenient way to display text in four lines: the two lower ones are for the current words and the two upper ones are for the next ones. Fourth, vanBasco's Karaoke Player provides a MIDI Output map where you can enable/disable any of the instruments, as well as a Piano panel that marks the current notes, which will be useful for those who like to accompany and write variations.

The player allows you to choose the font size, background images, the way the lines are displayed. In a separate Control window, using the mouse, you can easily adjust the key, tempo, and volume of the composition. vanBasco's Karplayer allows you to create playlists, and they can store information not only about the sequence of playing files, but also about the changed sound parameters (tempo, key and volume).

The advantages of the player also include the fact that in the Parameters window it is easy to quickly change the MIDI output device and reset the previous settings.

Developer Recisio

Size 3.87MB

Excellent interface; animated display of lyrics; allows you to save vocals to a WAV file; automatic muting of accompaniment while singing into the microphone

No MIDI instrument control window

Great program: modern colorful animated interface, support for a huge number of file formats (KAR, MIDI, AVI, MPEG, MP3, OGG Vorbis and many others). Through the efforts of the programmer Igor Butvin (Igor BootWin), version 0.95 is completely Russified.

KaraFun 0.95 provides two types of text display: in standard and tutorial modes. The first uses animation and text scrolling, the second is optimized for easy reading.

With one touch, you can turn on/off the lead melody and display an animated line of bubbles, making it easy to synchronize words and music. Very conveniently organized control of the tempo, tone, volume, signal levels from the microphone. In addition, you can apply an echo effect to the vocals. And if you turn on the Automatic Guide Cancel option, the program will automatically mute the accompaniment when you sing into the microphone. Note also that KaraFun 0.95 allows you to save your vocals as a WAV file.

The player supports work with playlists, allows the use of hot keys. There are many presets and backgrounds available for download on KaraFun.com completely free of charge.

The bundled KaraFun Editor allows you to add a text track to MIDI files (and even MP3 or OGG Vorbis songs), as well as modify an existing one in KAR files in such a way that you get the original animation effects during playback (the result is saved in a special format with KFN extension).

What is a karaoke file?

PC karaoke songs are created from MIDI files that store messages that are standard on many electronic music devices. A MIDI file contains tracks with special command sets that describe musical scores, sound volume, various effects, etc. Each track is assigned one of the 127 available instruments from the General MIDI set, plus one or more tracks contain percussion instruments. A karaoke file, unlike a MIDI file, includes an additional track where the lyrics are placed, synchronized with the melody according to certain rules. By default, the zero track is used for the vocal part, and the first track for the melody. But first of all, before creating a KAR file, you need to make sure that the corresponding MIDI file has the MIDI1 standard. Almost any MIDI editor, such as Cakewalk Audio Pro, can convert MIDI0 to MIDI1 files.

Developer i.Tech

Size 305KB

Free; ease of use; semaphore signaling the start of a vocal part

Primitive interface; no playlist support; there is no way to change key and tempo

The program runs only in full screen mode, and other tasks can only be accessed through the Windows taskbar.

The choice of songs for playback (KAR, MID, MK1, RIFF, RMI) is carried out either through the context menu called by pressing the right mouse button, or through the cursor keys. You can also change the background image using this menu (BMP and JPEG formats are supported); select any of the MIDI synthesizers available on the computer; vary the font used to display lyrics (any one installed in the OS will do). The system's Play Control panel is used to adjust the volume level. Here, perhaps, and all the functions.

However, for those who want more, i.Tech has two surprises, albeit paid ones: Microke Standard ($9.9) and Microke Platinum ($13.9) karaoke players. You can download and purchase them at www.microke.com. Both products have a modern, colorful look; work with playlists; make it possible to change the key and tempo; contain a window in which it is easy to turn off individual MIDI channels; and, best of all, they allow vocals to be judged. In addition, Microke Platinum plays ST3 files (the old simple karaoke player Star and the popular RealOrche 1.42 package worked with them) and provides automatic change of background images.

Demo-version (full version - 300 rubles)

Ability to evaluate singing in points; vocal recording; video karaoke creation; quick search for songs; solfeggio course

Outdated interface

Vocal Jam 2.0 is the best Russian program for singing karaoke using a computer. However, its demo version does not open KAR, MIDI and ST3 files; does not contain the Videocompressor module; does not allow recording AVI video; does not support a virtual MIDI cable, which provides a convenient interface for connecting Vocal Jam to any music program that has a MIDI input.

Nevertheless, the most important advantages of Vocal Jam 2.0 for karaoke lovers are the ability to evaluate your own singing in points and record vocals in WAV format, as well as separate control of parameters - volume, pan, instruments - for each of the sixteen MIDI channels.

In addition, the program provides convenient keyboard control for entering songs, tempo and key; has tools for quick search of compositions; allows you to create your own albums (playlists), record karaoke CD/DVD-R discs based on compositions in KAR, ST3, SVE formats and selected AVI or MPEG clips.

And finally, Vocal Jam 2.0 organizes a real solfeggio school on the computer, based on many years of experience of the best Russian teachers. All kinds of scales, intervals, keys, pauses, meters, etc. are represented here. All this is illustrated by a huge number of examples from folk songs, romances and popular themes of the classical repertoire.

The program allows you to extract a number of useful data from KAR files: song title, artist name, authors of words and music, etc. Using this information, you can organize your archive of songs. Karaoke Information Finder provides comfort when searching, sorting, renaming and moving files. The compiled list can be exported to Microsoft Word and Excel. Unfortunately, only a demo version of the program is available on the site - in this mode, you cannot process more than 11 files at the same time, in addition, you can use the utility in demo mode only for 10 days. The cost of registration is 130 rubles.

This utility is designed to record karaoke songs to WAV files, which allows you to save any song in your performance (of course, if you have a microphone connected to your PC). In addition, the program supports many audio formats such as MP3, MIDI, KAR, WAV, WMA, AC3, OGG, MPA, MP2, AU, AIF, SND, etc., and allows you to view videos presented in VCD, MPEG, AVI, WMV, ASF, OGM, DIVX, DAT, SVCD, etc. Note that when playing any material, an audio track in WAV format will always be recorded in parallel. Alas, the demo version only allows you to save a minute of the song, and registration costs $29.99.

Opens up many opportunities for those who love to sing or want to learn it. However, in the era of technological progress, you can also create your own clip using a modern personal computer, providing it with a suitable headset and installing certain software. In this article, we will tell you in detail how to make your own karaoke.

Method 1

What you need:

  • netbook, PC or laptop;
  • electret microphone;
  • sound card (built into the motherboard or external with USD interface);
  • Internet access.

Instruction:

  1. Install the sound card driver and check the sound;
  2. Connect a special microphone for the computer to the card. A standard dynamic microphone will not work - the sound will be too quiet;
  3. Set the volume so that there is no acoustic feedback or use headphones instead of speakers;
  4. Install the latest version of Flash Player on your computer;
  5. Find sites with karaoke files on the Internet, choose the right one and start performing.

Method 2

What you will need:

  • Karaoke disc recorded on digital media;
  • computer or laptop;
  • microphone.

Instruction:

  1. Insert a karaoke disc into the device. Such discs, as a rule, already contain all the necessary plug-ins that are automatically launched or installed;
  2. Connect and set up a microphone;
  3. A menu will appear on the screen, in which you must select the phonogram you like and click the "Play" button.

Ready! The discs are adapted to work on a computer and do not require downloading additional programs.

Method 3

What you will need:

  1. AV Video Karaoke Maker program (you can download it for free);
  2. PC or laptop;
  3. The video from which you want to make a karaoke video (in Mp3 or Wav formats);
  4. Song text.

Instruction:

  1. Launch AV Video Karaoke Maker and click on the "Start New Project" icon;
  2. Upload the desired video file from the computer. After adding a video, you can see it on the left as an audio track;
  3. To make the added video act as a background, click on the "Add background" icon and upload the same video;
  4. The next step is to add text to the video. To do this, click on the Add Text icon. The file must be in ".txt" format only. To make the text rhythmic, you can break it into syllables in advance.
  5. Go to "Settings" to set the font size, color and other options;
  6. Then you need to synchronize the text with the music. To do this, click on "Play" and while the music is playing, press F5;
  7. Every time a word sounds, press the "Insert" icon or the key combination "Alt + space";
  8. Then you need to export the resulting video. To do this, click "Export", select a location to export the file, video format, frame size and click "Start".

Your karaoke video clip is ready!

Method 4

For those who do not want to bother downloading and installing software, there is the easiest way to make karaoke yourself. All you need is a computer with Internet access and a modern version of any browser that supports the Java-script scripting option. Many sites offer online karaoke playback services with an interactive built-in player. All you need to do is plug in your headset, select a song and start singing.

Now you know how to create karaoke yourself, and there is nothing complicated about it. It is enough to acquire the necessary set of switching and equipment, download the appropriate software and your laptop will become an excellent alternative to expensive installations.

Karaoke is a great way to spend time or entertain a friendly company. But not everyone knows that for this it is not at all necessary to have special multimedia equipment, a CD with songs and other accessories.

This article tells you how to make karaoke on a laptop or desktop computer if you do not have one or another component.

In order to make karaoke on a computer, you will need:

Microphone

If you have a microphone that comes with music centers or karaoke sets, then it has a connector different from the sound card. The socket in the computer is designed for a 3.5mm jack. In this case, you need to buy a special adapter from 6.3 mm to 3.5. It can be found at any hardware store and is inexpensive.

Cable (jack from 3.5 mm to "tulips")

Acoustic system

Next, you need to decide on the source of the sound. You can, of course, use speakers in a laptop, but for the best effect, sound and volume, it is advisable to use at least computer speakers. The best option would be speakers from the music center and a subwoofer. To connect them, you will need a cable or a jack adapter from 3.5 mm to "tulips".

The end with tulips is connected to the music center in the AUX connectors, and the opposite one is connected to the green connector of the sound card, which is used for headphones.

Connecting speakers without a music center is a more difficult task. To do this, you will need to purchase an amplifier or receiver (which is the music center itself).

After connecting the microphone and speakers, check their compatibility. To do this, right-click on the volume icon in the Start panel. From the context menu, select "Playback Devices" to test the speakers and "Recording Devices" to test the microphone. In the properties of each, you can test the performance and adjust the sensitivity level.

The best karaoke programs for your computer

When the whole technical component is ready, go to karaoke. If you have a special disc with a collection of songs and a program, then everything becomes easier. Insert the disc into the drive and run.

If you do not have a disk or there is no disk drive, it does not matter. On the Internet you can find many programs and online karaoke. The most popular is www.karaoke.ru. On it you can create your own library with your favorite songs and keep track of new ones. This is a great option for those who decide to have fun and sing for their own pleasure.

However, there are karaoke programs with many settings: background, sound effects, creating your own compositions, etc. for example, the KaraokeKanta Player or Vocal Jam utility. The first - with great functionality and is very popular in the West, the second - is simpler and completely in Russian.

After making all the settings, test the entire system and adjust the sensitivity as you wish. In such a simple way, with a microphone, you can turn an ordinary laptop into an entertainment center.

Now one laptop with the necessary programs is enough for karaoke. I do not connect a microphone in small rooms, because everything is audible anyway, and I try not to connect it when there is no good stereo system, since the bad distorted sound of the voice from the microphone is added to the not very good sound of music, to this we can add that some people don't know how to hold a microphone properly.
Windows Media Player is fine to play Karaoke DVD, but I prefer PowerDVD 13 www.cyberlink.com . On the Internet, you can find and download images of DVD discs with karaoke for free. Most often, disk images are found with the .iso extension, less often .nrg; programs are usually used to launch disk images: UltraISO www.ezbsystems.com or Nero ImageDrive www.nero.com.
On the site www.musicsystem.ru you can download KarPlayer or Karaoke Player for free, as well as a huge number of karaoke songs for KarPlayer with the .kar extension. Here are the direct links:

On the Internet, you can find instrumental soundtracks of popular songs in MP3 format with a .cdg file. The cdg file is synchronized with the backing track - minus - this is the coolest option for karaoke, as you sing live to the original high-quality instrumental recording.
To run .mp3 and .cdg synchronously, I use the TriKaraoke MP+G Player Free program, which can be downloaded for free from www.tricerasoft.com. Many hit mins with cdg files can be found at rutracker.org. There are many more cons In contact with, most often the name of the track - minus contains the word Instrumental, all these minuses with vk.com can be downloaded using VKMusic.
A good selection of songs in the collections of DVD discs from Master Karaoke - Master Karaoke. I liked the collections

Using YouTube, you can sing karaoke from your tablet or even from your smartphone, which is especially cool during a long car trip!
Connecting and setting up a microphone to a computer or laptop is not difficult. If the laptop is not connected to additional speakers or stereo system, then, given my personal experience, in most cases you should not connect a microphone, as it will sound bad. At home, when friends come to me, I connect my laptop via an HDMI cable to my Smart TV, and the microphone to Home Cinema, DK is already connected to Smart TV, and the party begins ...

Instruction

In order to sing karaoke on a computer, you first need a microphone. If you do not already have a microphone, it is best to buy a special computer microphone with a 3.5 jack or usb connector. You can find such a microphone at any computer store.

If you already have a karaoke microphone, you will need a 6.3 jack to 3.5 jack adapter. You can purchase it from AV stores or radio parts stores. An adapter is needed so that the microphone can be connected to the computer connector on the board.

After you have picked up a microphone, you need to connect it to your computer. If you have a USB microphone, you can plug it into any free USB port. If the microphone has a 3.5 jack connector, it must be inserted into the microphone jack. It looks like a pink ring.

Search the Internet for instructions, a microphone for your sound card. Microphone recording and playback must be enabled. Try to do it yourself. To do this, find the icon of the sound card control program. Usually it is located in the tray and looks like a speaker. In the menu, you need to find a tab called Microphone or Input. And turn on the "record" and "playback" functions from the microphone.

After you have set up the microphone, you can start your favorite pastime - singing karaoke. To do this, go to the site Karaoke.ru, select the song you like, open it. Click the "Play" icon and start singing. If you want to find your favorite song, write its name in the "find karaoke" line.

The site also has a feature to record your performance. To do this, you need to press the record button in the player (a small square on a round button). You can download the recorded song to your computer and listen to it later. Or put it on the site so that others can appreciate your singing.
