Digital terrestrial TV channels are broadcast on two frequencies, each of which contains a package of 10 TV channels, which is called a multiplex. Below are the frequencies of the 1st and 2nd multiplex in Cheboksary.

1st multiplex: 46 TVK (674) MHz

The federal program provides for digital TV coverage of the entire territory of Russia by 2015. Already today, many regions of our country can enjoy high-definition television in HD format. But this pleasure is not available to everyone (everyone can watch, but not everyone sees))).

How to find out if your area has DVB T2 signal coverage

Very simple! To do this, we go to the official website of the federal project, in the section " Map of network coverage". You get an interactive map where you can find your location or the nearest settlement by entering them into the search bar and selecting from the drop-down tips:

At first glance, nothing complicated, but there are some nuances did on the knee and did not explain how to use it ) . Let's pay attention to the upper right corner of the digital TV card, and see what is there.

By default, the checkbox " Broadcast points"- in fact, these are the TV towers that broadcast in DVB T2 format, and package of TV channels RTRS-1. This, that is, the first ten information channels digital television. To see if you are in the broadcasting zone of the TV tower, check the box “Broadcasting zones”, as well as “TVK, frequency”, the map will be painted in cheerful colors:

"Green" towers are working. Here is the frequency and channel number on which the signal is transmitted

If your area is painted, and there is a "green" tower nearby, then everything is probably fine. You will definitely catch the first ten channels at least. The frequency of the towers will come in handy when, so remember it, but rather write it down, like the channel number on which your “number” is broadcasting.

But that is not all.

The fact is that the first and second multiplex are transmitted by different towers and at different frequencies.

This means that, for example, the first ten channels can already work for you, but the second ten channels are still being built, and this often happens. It is easy to check this, go to the "RTRS-2 channel package" tab:

The second multiplex - as you can see, there are much fewer "green" towers

We will be shown the towers again, and, most likely, not all of them will be green, as in the first case. Since the first towers were built for the first multiplex, they have been built for a long time and broadcast the first ten channels. But with the second multiplex worse. However, if there are no "green" towers near you, do not despair, click on the gray ones, there will be information about the stage of construction and approximate commissioning.

From personal experience I’ll say that the mother’s first multiplex in the region arrives from the tower 10 km away, but the second one arrives from the neighboring region, 45 km from her house. True, an external “dryer” antenna is used here, with an amplifier, on a high pole. Naturally, without an amplifier, she does not catch anything.

We get detailed information on the tower. At least it's already built, which means it's about to launch!

At times they slip friezes". However, judging by the map, a tower with a second multiplex is being built nearby, so everything will be fine soon.

Residents of Chuvashia are increasingly turning to the editorial office with the question of how the transition to digital analog television will take place. We learned about this from the Minister of Digital Development, Information Policy and Mass Communications of Chuvashia Mikhail Anisimov.

Mikhail Vladimirovich, will all residents of the republic have access to a digital signal?

In Chuvashia, the construction and operation of the digital terrestrial television network is carried out by the RTRS branch "RTPC Chuvash Republic". In total, 42 digital broadcasting facilities were built and put into operation: almost the entire territory of Chuvashia is covered with a digital signal.

Today, residents of the republic can watch digital terrestrial television for free. Digital terrestrial television includes 2 multiplexes (packages of TV channels). The signal of the first multiplex can be received in almost all settlements of Chuvashia. Broadcasting of the second multiplex was launched in Cheboksary and Novocheboksarsk, Alatyrsky, Batyrevsky, Poretsky, Shemurshinsky districts. Until the end of 2018, this package of TV channels will be available everywhere. Wherever the viewer is - in the city or the outback - there will always be a high-quality picture on television screens.

Also in Chuvashia there were territories that did not fall into the broadcasting zone of digital terrestrial television. There are 83 such settlements, about 8,000 people live in them. In the near future we plan to sign an agreement with satellite TV operators so that the residents of these villages and villages can get equipment at a discount, and watching 20 TV channels is free.

Will additional equipment be required?

All modern TVs accept a digital signal. It is enough to check in the instructions whether the equipment supports the DVB-T2 standard and buy a UHF antenna. If the TV is old (produced before 2013), you will also need a digital set-top box. Although there is no shortage of equipment in the stores of the republic, I advise you not to postpone this issue until the last day.

When will analog television be turned off in Chuvashia?

The shutdown will begin on April 15, 2019. After the analog signal is turned off, a special Announcement. By this time, we plan to solve a number of important tasks. First of all, to help socially unprotected categories of citizens who cannot afford receiving equipment. Now, together with the authorities, we are developing legal document, which will regulate the distribution of compensation for the purchase of digital set-top boxes and antennas.

Where can I learn more about digital TV?

You can learn more about digital television and connection methods on the site seetsifu.rf, the official website of the Ministry of Information Policy of Chuvashia, by calling free hotline 8-800-220-20-02. Also in the branch of the RTRS "RTPC of the Chuvash Republic" there is a "Consulting Support Center" at the address: Cheboksary, st. Nikolaeva, d.10A. Here everyone can get all the detailed information for free.

I want to note that now all possible problematic points have been taken into account so that the transition to digital terrestrial television is as comfortable as possible for all citizens.

At the weekly meeting of the Head of the Chuvash Republic Mikhail Ignatiev with members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Chuvashia and heads of a number of territorial departments of federal authorities, issues of the development of digital television and radio broadcasting in the republic were discussed.

Minister of Digital Development, Information Policy and Mass Communications of the Chuvash Republic Mikhail Anisimov informed that the implementation of the federal target program "Development of TV and radio broadcasting in the Russian Federation for 2009-2018" is currently being completed, the main goal of which is the transfer of TV and radio broadcasting networks in Russia to digital technologies.

As a result of the implementation of this program, in all settlements of Russia it will be possible to receive 20 mandatory public TV channels without subscription fee. In total, within the framework of the program, 42 digital broadcasting facilities were built and put into operation in the republic. For the convenience of citizens, a special Internet resource "Map.rtrs.rf" has been created, where you can get acquainted with the broadcasting area available on this moment channel packages.

Even today, residents of the Chuvash Republic can watch digital terrestrial television for free. In almost all settlements of the region, 10 programs of the RTRS-1 digital TV channel package (the first multiplex) are available in excellent quality.

By the end of 2018, the second multiplex will be available almost everywhere - 10 more TV channels. Now it is launched in the cities of Cheboksary and Novocheboksarsk. It should be noted that earlier only 3 analog TV channels were available to the residents of the republic (Channel One, Russia 1, NTV).

The Minister emphasized that within the framework of digital broadcasting, the inclusion of regional programs of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company "Chuvashia" is envisaged. They are included in the channels "Russia 1", "Russia 24" and "Radio Russia" as part of the first multiplex. This will allow residents of the republic to be aware of local news.

Analog TV broadcasting is planned to be discontinued from January 1, 2019. TV viewers not prepared for the reception digital signal, after turning off analog broadcasting, they will see a black screen instead of federal TV channels. Therefore, residents of the republic are strongly advised to purchase the necessary receiving equipment before the end of 2018. Price decimeter antenna starts from 300 rubles, digital set-top box- from 700 rubles.

At the same time, Mikhail Anisimov drew attention to the fact that in 68 settlements there is no signal from the central terrestrial television. Over 8,000 people living in more than 5,000 households cannot watch CETV free of charge, since it is impossible to receive an over-the-air signal in these settlements technologically.

To solve the problem of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of Russia, a draft agreement is being developed with satellite TV operators in order to provide for residents of such settlements benefits for the purchase necessary equipment and provide one of the digital broadcast packages free of charge. At the moment, 1477 households (28%) are connected to the satellite television network. In the near future, local governments will conduct a survey of local residents to find out the demand for satellite broadcasting as alternative solution problems of accessibility of digital television.

The head of Chuvashia emphasized that the task of the authorities is to ensure the constitutional right of the inhabitants of the republic to equal access to information, to quality services and living conditions. Paying attention to the fact that in these settlements almost a third of families already have satellite dishes, Mikhail Ignatiev instructed to think over possible mechanisms of social support for low-income and large families.
