Speed dialing appeared back in the days of push-button mobile phones. Many contacts could then be assigned their own key - from 1 to 9. Holding the key for one to one and a half seconds led to dialing the number of the corresponding contact. Something similar is implemented in the Android operating system. But here the speed dial may differ, depending on the version of the operating system and the type of proprietary shell.
The most common speed dial option
Most often, the smartphone manufacturer offers to use a virtual keyboard to dial a number. Its number keys can be responsible for calling specific contacts. All that remains is to assign specific keys to the contacts. Let's figure out how to do this.
Step 1. Go to the pre-installed application " Telephone».

Appearance
Here we have a classic case design with rounded corners and a frequently seen fashionable metal strip along the end of the case. The case thickness is only 9 mm, making a smartphone of this diagonal look quite thin.
The entire front side is covered with protective glass with a narrow plastic edge. A protective film is glued on top. It is not possible to determine the presence of an oleophobic coating, and the manufacturer itself is silent about this, as well as about the type of glass. There is no air gap between the protective glass and the LCD panel, which brings the image closer to the surface.
At the top there is a speaker cutout, next to it is the camera eye, and closer to the corner there is an LED flash and a blue alert indicator below it. There is a proximity and light sensor. On our copy, the protective film was applied with a flaw: in the upper right corner you can see an air bubble due to a speck that got there.
On the back is the main camera with a shiny metal frame. Below it is a dual LED flash. Even lower is the shiny company logo.
At the bottom of the cover, under the perforations, there is the main speaker. There is a small recess under the cover that makes it easier to remove. The cover is secured with latches in sixteen grooves and is difficult to remove.
Under the cover we see a non-removable battery, two micro-SIM slots and a slot for a micro-SD memory card. Hot swap supported.
On the right side there are control buttons, on top there is a volume rocker, below there is a lock button. There is a microphone hole at the bottom end. All interfaces are located at the top. This is a 3.5 mm jack for connecting a headset and micro-USB with OTG support.
There are no complaints about the assembly of the gadget. Everything fits perfectly, without gaps. The case has a rigid structure, does not creak, does not play or bend. It will not be possible to bend it with a screw, despite its size and thickness. The materials are good for its price segment, the only thing is that the matte plastic cover, painted to resemble metal, looks very budget-friendly.
The smartphone fits perfectly in the hand. The ergonomics of the buttons and connectors are well thought out, plus the body is well balanced. This model is convenient and comfortable to use, despite its size.
Screen
The BQ-6050 Jumbo is equipped with a large 6-inch HD display with a pixel density of 320 dpi. The resolution for such a diagonal is small, but there is no visible grain. The matrix is made using IPS technology. The illumination is uniform. Viewing angles are good, there is no color change, but the brightness dims significantly when changing the angle.
In bright sunshine, maximum brightness is not enough.
The smartphone features MediaTek MiraVision technology, which allows you to optimize the image on the screen depending on external conditions and situations. Both automatic and manual adjustment of all screen parameters are possible.
The display supports five simultaneous touch points. The sensitivity is good, touches are processed correctly through the protective film.
Interface
The smartphone runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. No skins or changes have been installed, only wallpaper from the manufacturer has been added.
Several applications from Yandex are initially installed, and there are shortcuts on the desktop for downloading several games and applications from Google Play. The links are made in the form of regular icons; the AppsPress program is responsible for downloading applications. Additional programs installed include Yandex applications, Google Chrome and the service of the Gift of Life charity foundation.
The interface works smoothly, responsively, there are no freezes or slowdowns.

In one-handed mode, the on-screen keyboard shrinks to make it easier to type with one hand, and you can also type without lifting your finger from the screen.
Performance and testing
BQ Jumbo runs on the relatively new budget MediaTek MT6737 processor, which replaced the MT6735. The processor has a number of innovations: support for 4G, VoLTE, cameras up to 13 MP, Full HD video playback. Energy consumption is reduced when GPS is turned on; proprietary PumpExpress 2.0 technology is used to speed up battery charging.

Minimum RAM required is 2 GB. The test shows good speed characteristics.
The ARM Mali-T720 MP2 chip is responsible for the graphics; it provides acceptable performance in games at medium settings. It scores average in the 3D Mark and Unreal Citadel tests.
But in real gaming applications it showed its worth. Games run smoothly at medium quality settings, there are no stutters or stutters.

The speaker and microphone pleased us with their quality. The sound is excellent, without distortion, the volume is sufficient, neither the owner nor the interlocutor has any discomfort during a conversation. Due to the size of the device, it is initially difficult to position the speaker near the ear; moving the microphone closer to the mouth, the speaker is covered by the ear and the sound is muffled.
The external speaker is very loud, there is no sound distortion at maximum volume. The sound output to the headphones via cable and via Bluetooth is of good quality and volume. When the headset is connected, the FM radio works.
Camera
The cameras have a lot of customization options, there is an HDR mode, digital stabilization, voice control, and a photo by smile. You can manually set ISO values, white balance, and adjust exposure.
Pictures taken in daylight are of acceptable quality.
When shooting landscapes, photos become blurry, detail and sharpness disappear.

Macro photography of close objects is much better, including using flash. Color rendition is at a good level, without distortion of shades.
The declared 16 MP does not confirm itself, as we said earlier, the processor supports a camera up to 13 MP. The previously reviewed smartphone with a 13 MP camera demonstrated significantly more detailed and sharp pictures with better color rendition.
The front camera also does not live up to the stated 8 MP. The pictures come out blurry with noise and poor detail. Clearly not enough for a selfie.
In general, the cameras were disappointing; apparently, they saved money on them. The previously mentioned Strike Selfie provides better image quality at a lower cost.
Video recording quality 1280 × 720 at 28 frames per second. It turns out to be of quite good quality.
Battery
For such a large screen, the battery must have an appropriate capacity. The BQ Jumbo has a 4900 mAh non-removable battery. This charge was enough for three days of work. During this period of time, all test programs were run, games were launched, calls were made.
The PCMark battery test showed 12 hours 2 minutes - this is the discharge time from 100% to 20% with Wi-Fi on and maximum screen brightness. A very good result for a battery of the specified capacity.
Charging from the supplied 2 A adapter from 0% to 100% lasted 4 hours. The charging current gradually changed from 1.7 A to 0.3 A. The USB tester showed a charge of 4845 mAh.
Conclusion
For its price of less than 10,000 rubles, the BQ-6050 Jumbo phablet has virtually no competitors among 6-inch smartphones.
A good budget model with its own advantages and limitations. IPS screen with HD resolution without air gap. The performance of the components shows acceptable results in tests.
