How to disassemble the remote control from a Samsung TV and 4 more companies

You can disassemble and repair the TV remote control yourself, if you correctly approach this process TV has long been an integral part of modern life. Almost every house has at least 1 TV, and in most cases 2 or more, depending on the number of rooms and the wishes of the household. And everyone who has such equipment knows what a remote control is - a remote control. In addition, almost half of the families encountered breakdowns of the TV remote control and know what repair of the remote control is. Most often, people downplay the value of the remote control, you should not do this. Better spend some of your time on repairs.

TV remote control manufacturers

As already noted, in a house where there is a TV, there is also a remote control. Each company itself is engaged in the development of remote control for its equipment, which guarantees not only the appropriate quality, but also the fact that the remote control will always fit the TV that you bought. It also allows you to quickly pick up a new remote if the old one is broken. You can pick up the necessary spare parts much faster if it was decided to repair the remote control with your own hands.

Among the main brands of TVs and remote controls, we can distinguish the following, the most popular manufacturers:

  • Samsung;
  • Philips;
  • Panasonic;
  • Sony;

Repair of the TV remote control, as a rule, depends on the manufacturer

Samsung appliances are best combined with accessories of the same brand. In addition, there are remote control options for each specific model of TVs, players and set-top boxes, including those related to the Smart system. Panasonic, just like Samsung, develops remote control models for each new TV model created, but recently the manufacturer has been trying to create an option that will not only fit a specific type, freely manage all new models from the company. Which, of course, will help save both in material terms and in the efficiency of replacement.

It is logical that 1 universal remote will take up much less space than, for example, 2, 3 or more.

At the very beginning of work, both the TV and the remote control usually show their best sides, but it happens that over time you begin to encounter various problems in the operation of the remote control of your device and, most often, such problems begin abruptly, and the person does not know what happened , and how to change it. The question is: what went wrong? Is something wrong with the TV or with the remote control?

Reasons: why the TV does not respond to the remote control

It doesn’t matter which company is the leader in the production of TVs, Samsung, Philips, Sony, Panasonic, LJI or some other company, all equipment can fail in its work sooner or later. And these failures are not only very unexpected, but also quite serious. Before you panic when the TV cannot be turned on with the remote control, you should check if the TV itself works at all?

If the TV does not respond to the remote control, then you should check the connection of the equipment to the power source

For this you need:

  1. First, check if the equipment is connected to a power source. Even a small child can handle it. If the TV plug is connected and current is supplied to the outlet, but the TV does not turn on, check the wire itself, it happens that the cable from the TV to the plug is frayed, bent, etc.
  2. If both the plug and the cable are in order, and there is current in the outlet, and the TV still does not want to turn on, then try starting it using the button located on the body of the equipment itself. If the equipment does not respond, then it is worth sounding the alarm and checking the performance of the TV itself.
  3. In the case when, when turned on with a button on the panel, the TV works as if nothing had happened, but does not want to respond to the remote control, the question arises of why this happened. Most likely, in this case, the problem is specifically in the remote control.

If repairing a TV at home is almost impossible, and experts advise you to contact the masters in case of such breakdowns, then the remote control can be repaired on your own. But first of all, they must determine why the TV stopped responding to its native remote control.

Examples of breakdowns due to which the TV remote control does not work

In addition to the fact that the remote control may completely refuse to connect and work with the TV, other problems may arise in the event of a breakdown in the remote control. For example, the remote control does not switch channels well, when you press some buttons, the equipment reacts as if other buttons are pressed - if you decide to switch the channel, and instead of turning on the next one, the remote control starts to increase or decrease the volume of the TV, etc.

Sometimes the buttons are pressed with difficulty, stick, react from the second, third or more times.

The reaction of the TV to the remote control is possible only in conditions of close range. This can be noticeable if you turn on the TV from different parts and corners of the hall. For each of the breakdowns, there is a reason that causes one or another malfunction, and it also happens that at one moment several reasons came together at once, and in this case you can get a very serious problem.

You can get acquainted with the most popular causes of remote control breakdowns on the Internet.

Among the causes of breakdowns are:

  1. Small children. As practice shows, in families with small children, it is they who cause the remote control to break. A child, out of ignorance, can wash the remote control in a bucket or in the bathroom, throw it against the wall, etc. If just such a reason has been identified, then it will be easiest and most reliable to replace the old remote control with a new one and hide it away from children's eyes.
  2. Batteries. As you know, in television remote controls, energy is obtained on the basis of AA batteries, which are inserted into a special compartment. In order to restore the functionality of the remote control, the usual replacement of batteries or accumulators can help.
  3. Scheme. Various breakdowns can also be hidden in the remote control circuit, ranging from loose contacts to more serious problems. A popular example of a microcircuit is the Adam24P20G circuit.
  4. Quartz remote control device.
  5. Buttons. The special gasket between the circuit and the buttons may become thinner.

Many problems can be identified even in the early stages, for example, by the appearance of the remote control. If you notice that the body is melted, cracked or gnawed, then this should lead to the idea that perhaps there is already a problem inside, which in the future will lead to a complete failure of the equipment to work. Some problems can be identified and eliminated in the early stages.

Do-it-yourself TV remote control repair steps

Knowing the reason why the remote control broke down, you can decide what should be done to revive the remote control. Most often, the remote control has malfunctions, some of which are able to fix on their own. Consider a few examples of how to restore the remote control. Insufficient power supply to operate the console circuits. In this case, most likely, you will need a simple battery replacement.

In order to properly repair the remote control, you must perform all the steps in stages

Here you do not need to disassemble something, solder - you just need:

  • Open the remote control compartment;
  • Remove old batteries;
  • Replace them with new ones.

If the buttons respond poorly to pressing, you will have to disassemble the device in order to check the integrity of the gasket between the buttons and the remote control circuit. Disassembling the remote control is a matter that requires appropriate preparations. First of all, you should have a set of small-section screwdrivers, both flat and Phillips, at hand. In addition, disassembling the remote control will come in handy when you need to lubricate certain parts of the device.

If the hull breaks, it is best to replace it with a new one, or repair or fix the wreckage with improvised materials. Insulating tape is our everything.

When you know what to do, you can manage on your own. In addition, all these examples will be useful when deciding to repair the remote control with your own hands. But still, sometimes you should entrust this work to craftsmen who have been repairing such equipment for more than a year.

The check of equipment, most often, stops after the TV itself is checked, especially if everything is checked on the basis of the store. This leads to the fact that any problems with the remote control begin to be noticed much later, when it is already almost impossible to exchange the remote control or repair it under the warranty card. It is believed that the remote control is not such an important element of the TV, but it is not. Any remote control should be checked thoroughly.

You can check the remote control at home without resorting to the help of specialists

Subject to verification:

  1. Remote control for smart system. For example, it can be the RMCTPF2AP1 and RMCTPH1AP1.
  2. Ordinary standard remotes, for example, from Samsung - TM1050.
  3. Consoles of popular companies: LJI, Sony, Mysteries. For example, LG Magic Motion Z1025.
  4. TV tuner remote.

Do-it-yourself TV remote control repair (video)

In conclusion, the question becomes relevant - what is needed in order to check the operation of the remote control at home? First of all, observe the reaction of buttons, for example, Pairing or Select. For most models of modern remote controls, these buttons should be illuminated if the device is in working condition.

If you doubt the suitability of the batteries, you can temporarily put them for testing from a working remote control. If this does not help and the remote control does not work, we proceed to repair the remote control with our own hands. To do this, you need to disassemble it.

Remove the cover and remove the batteries. Inspect the remote control housing for mounting recesses. Often there are self-tapping screws under the battery cover.
It is very common to fasten parts of the remote control case with clips and glue, so it is impossible to disassemble them without damage. Opening such a remote control should be done carefully so as not to injure your hands and break the instrument. With a nail file or a spoon that fits well into the groove between the top and bottom of the remote, gradually snap off the clips or break the glued groove, prying the bottom of the remote and effortlessly moving around the case. Frequent malfunctions
The buttons on the remote get stuck.
you have to press hard on the buttons

The remote if you hit it works, then it does not work

The main reason why the buttons on the remote do not work is the contamination of the button contacts. Dirt can interfere with closing the contacts of the buttons, or vice versa closes them. And the operation algorithm of the remotes is such that when several buttons are pressed at the same time, the command from the remote control is blocked and, of course, the remote control does not work. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the contact pads on the board and clean the contact patches on the rubber mat. There are two types of contact patches for buttons.
With graphite coating and with conductive rubber. Graphite coating gradually wears out and leaves marks on the pads of the board, contaminating and shorting them. If you are lucky, you have a remote with conductive rubber, but even here, over time, problems with dirt and oxides appear. The contact pads on the board can also be made in different ways, either with graphite sputtering or copper conductors.
Often, when you open the remote control, there is oily dirt on the board, this is fat condensation from the skin of your hands. If you have been using the remote control for a long time, this dirt will already be on the buttons and the case on top in a dry form. When you have to press the buttons with force in order for the remote to work or they are poorly pressed, this is 100 percent pollution! If you take the remote apart, you will understand what I am talking about. I have a clean one in the photo, later I will definitely replace the photo, where everything will be clearly visible. How to repair the remote control with your own hands with such a disaster? If the buttons are not coated with graphite, a good cleaning will help.

We clean the board with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol or vodka, do not use colognes, they leave a film and it will be even worse. We wash the rubber keyboard and case in water using a grease remover and a stiff brush from an old toothbrush. Dry well. With an eraser, we go through the rubber heels on the rubber mat and the contacts on the board. We collect and check the remote control. Works great! The site "How to do it yourself" helped you.

How to make for remotes with graphite coating on the buttons, the restoration of contacts is described below.

If the remote does not work after that, then in order to fix the remote, you will need some knowledge of electronics and the ability to solder.

We check the soldering of contact springs for batteries on the board and the soldering points of the emitting diode. We carefully inspect and solder defective solderings.
The remote stopped working after being dropped.

I want to warn you, sharp blows are dangerous for them, ceramic quartz on the board is very fragile. To make the remote, you need to replace it.
Remote only switches from close range

Perhaps the batteries need to be replaced or the emitting diode is dead. First, we check the batteries by replacing, and if there is no result, we change the emitting diode.
The buttons on the remote do not work.

Sometimes cleaning does not help, the rubber loses its electrically conductive properties over time, or the graphite coating on the patches of the rubber mat wears out. How to fix a remote with such buttons? Using a remote control repair kit. This includes a small tube of silicone adhesive and conductive rubber pads.

The old patch is carefully cut off with a blade and a new one from the set is glued in its place. The kit is enough to repair 3-5 remotes.

Another option on how to make the remote control work is to use the "contactol" electrically conductive glue, which we apply to the fat-free patches of the rubber mat. But these methods of restoring remotes are expensive and make sense when you need to repair a lot of remotes or the remote cannot be found on sale. Chips in remotes fail very rarely. I also advise you to pay attention to mechanical failures.
broken tracks,
bad soldering,
shorting at the intersections between the printed track and the graphite conductors, if any, they are applied on top of the former. The latter is very insidious, and can manifest itself at times. You should pay attention if the batteries in the remote control are quickly discharged.
I will add that such malfunctions are typical not only for remote controls, all devices where there are such buttons suffer from this, but they can also be repaired with your own hands

The remote control is an important thing in the house. However, to appreciate the ability to change channels and adjust the volume of the TV without getting up from the couch, they usually begin when the battery runs out or the remote control starts to work poorly. Replacing the battery is an elementary task, but it’s a completely different matter when the remote control simply starts to work poorly. Usually the reason is simple - the mechanism is clogged, the buttons are hard to press and it becomes clear that the device should be urgently disassembled and cleaned. How to do it right?

First of all, it is worth noting that any equipment in the house should be properly looked after. Only in this case it will work efficiently and serve you for a long time. The remote control is a small, but still an element of technology. Moreover, the lion's share of the load falls on it, because you constantly pick it up and press the buttons. In order for the remote control to work longer without the need to clean it, you should use it only with clean hands. Very often, the remote control becomes clogged due to the fact that it is taken with dirty hands.

Eating in front of the TV is not only unhealthy, but also for the technology that comes to hand. Small particles of food get inside and render the devices unusable.

Try, if you eat in front of the TV, to complete the meal to the fullest, wash your hands and only then continue to work with the remote control.

But what to do if the remote control from your recently purchased Sony TV has already started to work poorly? First, try just changing the battery, in most cases the remote starts to respond more actively and stops creating problems. If this does not help and you have every reason to believe that there may be a lot of debris inside the remote device, then cleaning is clearly required here, which should be done carefully and carefully at home.

Disassembly of the device: how to clean the TV remote

In order to clean the remote control, it must first be disassembled. Depending on the manufacturer of the TV, the remote may be closed in different ways. Some companies make simple latches that can be opened without a screwdriver, while others use screws and it will be impossible to wash the remote inside without a tool.

The main TV manufacturers today are:

  • Sony;
  • Samsung;
  • Philips.

The tip is that almost any remote control can be opened with a knife, unscrewing the screws with its tip. However, you should be guided by the situation. If it is difficult to unscrew the screws with a knife, you can strip the threads, and in the future the screws will sit tight. The ideal option, of course, would be a small Phillips screwdriver.

When you open the remote, be careful and careful. It is important not to move the connections and parts, otherwise you may get confused and not know how to put everything back into place. It is not necessary to wipe the chip and the board, the most important thing is to just get rid of the dust. Alternatively, you can vacuum the remote control inside, setting the smallest traction power.

Instructions: how to disassemble the Sony TV remote control

Wiping down the inside of the remote is always a good idea, but you need to open it first. Most remote controls today are easily opened with a screwdriver, but there is a completely different category of TV remotes that are held together without screws at all. These are the remotes from the new Sony TVs. However, opening them is actually not so difficult, for this you should take a knife or a screwdriver, the latter will be even better, and gently pry the junction of the remote control cover with the tip. You will find that the device opens slightly.

Do not immediately try to completely open the remote control in one place, otherwise you will simply rip off all the fasteners. Gently, step by step, slightly open the lid, moving along its perimeter and gradually opening it.

This operation may not work out for you the first time, but the main thing is to initially pry the lid well and then just do not rush. Even if you hear that one of the fasteners is cracked, it doesn't matter, the lid will hold on to the rest. But be careful, completely stripped fasteners mean you have to reattach the lid.

Proper cleaning of the TV remote control at home

In most cases, to fully clean the remote control, it will be enough to open the main box of the device and blow it through thoroughly. Sometimes you will need to wipe individual elements with a cloth. However, it happens when the remote control is very dirty and only a complete cleaning can save it. In this case, get ready to disassemble the device as expected - separate the top and bottom covers, separate the rubber gasket from under the buttons and the circuit board. It is not worth cleaning the board, this can damage it, but the rubber gasket can even be washed under the tap. In this case, you should first dry it completely and only use it again after drying.

In the most extreme case, if even the board turned out to be dirty and you definitely want to clean it, then arm yourself with a cotton swab, moisten it with alcohol and wipe it with neat, gentle movements so as not to damage the microcircuit.

If you do not want the remote control to become dirty quickly and require detailed cleaning when disassembled, we advise you to regularly clean the outside of it, which is much easier and easier. To do this, you can use ordinary wet wipes or cotton wool soaked in alcohol. Although alcohol is a liquid, it evaporates instantly, so it will not cause any harm to the remote control, as well as to the microcircuits inside.

There are other preventive measures that will extend the stable operation of the remote control without cleaning, these are:

  1. Buying a cover. A simple yet extremely effective solution to keep your remote clean and tidy. Yes, each time you use the remote control will have to be removed from the case, but this will protect the device from debris and dust.
  2. Polyethylene. If you do not want to spend money on a full-fledged case, we offer you a simple, but also effective solution - wrap the remote control in film. It can even be cling film, the ends of which can either be hidden at the back or carefully sealed with tape. No dirt will get inside the remote control, while the film can be replaced at any time.
  3. Hygiene. Of course, the most elementary precaution is your personal hygiene first of all, do not use the device with dirty hands or while eating.

It is worth, just for everything, to resist the temptation and your TV remote control will last much longer and more reliably.

Expert answer: how to clean the TV remote control (video)

Let's summarize, the remote control is a very important thing in the house, without which it is difficult to do. However, without proper protection and care, the TV remote control will quickly become dirty, both externally and internally. To avoid this, you should use a cover or wipe the device both externally and internally from time to time. In order to open the remote control, you should use a screwdriver or, in extreme cases, a knife, with which you should unscrew the screws and open the cover. Sometimes modern consoles are closed with latches, in which case you need to carefully open the lid along the edge until it completely comes off.

Today, almost all electronic devices used in everyday life are equipped with remote controls. TVs are no exception. How else to switch channels without getting up from the couch?

The remote control, being an intensively used device, often fails. It either ceases to function altogether, or copes with its duties partially.

What do the most impatient and comfortable few of us do when? That's right, they want to quickly buy a new one. But if you have a desire and a few tens of minutes of free time, you can try to repair it, and on your own.

In this article, we will talk about why the remote control fails, and also consider ways to resuscitate it at home.

The TV remote does not work: causes and symptoms of a malfunction

The remote control device may lose its functionality as a result of some technical problems, as well as due to careless handling. So if yours is broken TV remote control, before proceeding with its disassembly for subsequent repair, it is worth determining for yourself what signs of a malfunction it gives. This will make it easier to plan your next steps.

Most often, a remote control malfunction is characterized by:

  • visible and suspected mechanical damage;
  • lack of response when pressing some buttons (other buttons work);
  • complete lack of reaction (all buttons do not work).

Consider these signs in the context of possible malfunctions.

Mechanical damage

If there are obvious signs of mechanical damage on its case, this may indicate that it was simply dropped on the floor or deliberately tried to be rendered inoperative. The consequence of such handling of the device may be:

  • lack of contact between the batteries and the electrical terminals of the remote control;
  • damage to the transmitting LED;
  • violation of the integrity of the conductive tracks and (and) the conclusions of the electrical components on the board.

The TV remote does not work: what to do and where to start

It is best to start the diagnosis with the batteries. When the device falls, it is they who most often cause its failure. The test itself consists in removing the cover of the remote control and checking the position of the batteries. If necessary, they must be reinstalled, observing the polarity. Pay attention to how tightly their contacts are in contact with the electrical terminals of the device. If the batteries dangle, you may need to bend the negative terminals (springs).

If after such events TV remote control earned, close the lid and continue to use it further. If this does not happen, we proceed to the next stage of diagnostics.

Battery charge

Having removed the cover of the device for checking the batteries, do not be too lazy to check the amount of their charge. Although the remote control consumes a minimum of electricity to ensure its operation, the batteries gradually run out.

The test is best done using a conventional voltmeter or multimeter. To do this, you just need to measure the voltage at the contacts of the batteries. It should not be less than 1 V.

If you do not have such devices, check batteries for tv remote you can by using them in another remote control device such as DVD, stereo, air conditioner, etc.

You can also insert known good batteries into our device. After making sure that they are suitable both in size and in the magnitude of the output voltage, remove them from another remote control and install them in the one being diagnosed. The test showed that it was the batteries that failed? Just replace them.

Checking the LED

The transmitting LED plays the main role in the operation of the console. It consists in transmitting an infrared signal of a certain frequency to a special TV receiver. First of all, inspect the LED for damage. If it is broken, the only way out is to replace it. You will have to go to the radio market or to a store specializing in the sale of radio components, buy the same element and solder it in place of the damaged one.

Is the LED intact? Check out how it works. It is impossible to do this with the naked eye, since the human eye does not perceive infrared radiation. Some of the modern devices equipped with a camera will help here. It can be a mobile phone, smartphone, tablet, etc. Turn on the camera on it and point it at the LED of the remote control. Now try switching channels while looking at the screen of the device. With a working diode, you will definitely see light signals when you press the remote control keys. But if there was no reaction, most likely, the matter is not in the light element.

Damage inside the device

Mechanical damage can be hidden from your eyes. If TV remote dropped and not working, and something is dangling inside, there is a possibility that he received a closed “injury”, which put him out of action. As a result of a fall, the wire may break off, the output of, for example, some capacitor may fall off, or the conductive path may crack. Here you will have to completely disassemble the device.

Those that have received damage to the board or its elements are, of course, better to entrust to professionals, but if you have ever held a soldering iron in your hands, you can try to deal with this on your own.

First, open the device. You're in luck if your TV remote's case is held together with screws. In this case, they must be unscrewed and the parts of the device disconnected. If the case is fastened with internal latches, you will have to sweat a little.

A knife with a thin blunt blade will help to disconnect the parts of the remote control. It must be inserted between the halves and, gently squeezing, disconnect them from each other, passing in a circle. When this is done, disassemble the remote and carefully inspect the board for damage. For these purposes, use a magnifying glass. Small defects may not be visible to the naked eye. It is also desirable to provide good lighting of the place where the inspection will be carried out.

Start checking from the conclusions that go to the batteries. Next, inspect all the tracks, and then the electrical components. If you find an open in the electrical circuit of the console, restore it by repairing or replacing the damaged part. In case of damage to the microcircuits, it is better to buy a new remote control than to try to repair it. At least it'll be cheaper that way.

When individual buttons don't work

Often the reason that TV remote not working, is the state of the rubber keyboard. The lower part of the buttons is covered with a conductive graphite layer, which, in fact, closes the contacts placed on the board. It happens that this layer wears out from constant use, and it also happens that dust, moisture, and foreign objects get between it and the contacts.

Wear usually falls on the keys that we use the most:

  • on-off;
  • channel switching;
  • volume up/down.

Unidentified oily liquid

Having discovered that TV remote not working and taking it apart, you can see a colorless oily liquid on the bottom of the keyboard. Do not rush to blame your relatives for the fact that one of them spilled sunflower oil or sweet tea on the device. This liquid is nothing more than oil secreted from the pores of the fingers. During the operation of the remote control, it settles on the buttons, as a result of which contact between them and the sites is lost.

This problem is solved very simply. It is enough to disassemble the remote control, wipe the board and the bottom of the keyboard with alcohol, and the device will work like new. Before starting operation after such a procedure, do not forget to dry the wiped elements.

Is it possible to restore a worn graphite layer?

What should I do if the conductive graphite layer on the bottom of the remote control keyboard has worn off? It can be restored. with a damaged conductive coating involves its removal and the creation of a new one in its place. But what to make it from?

There are two options here. The first is to buy a special kit for repairing remotes in a radio parts store. Such a set includes a tube of silicone glue and several dozen rubber patches (overlays on the lower parts of the buttons) coated with the same graphite. You are required to disassemble the remote control, carefully cut off the old pads, and stick new ones in their place. Such repair allows you to completely restore the device for a long time.

The second option does not imply any costs at all. Take an ordinary chocolate foil, cut out the required number of overlays from it, respecting the size, and stick them over the worn patches. Of course, this budget repair will not ensure the smooth operation of the remote control for many years, but believe me, it will still serve.

Will film help?

You've probably seen remote controls wrapped in plastic wrap. This method, undoubtedly, was invented by our compatriots in order to protect the remote control from the possible consequences of careless handling. Yes, the film can temporarily protect the device from moisture and dust. But over time, it loses its protective properties due to the same intensive use. Whether it is worth turning the remote control into an incomprehensible and funny object is up to you.

How to extend the life of your TV remote control

To keep your TV remote control working as long as possible, follow these tips:

  1. Try to handle it carefully, avoiding falling to the floor.
  2. Do not give the remote control to children and protect it from "encroachment" by pets.
  3. Monitor the status of the LED.
  4. Don't forget to change batteries regularly.
  5. Do not use the remote when your hands are dirty or while eating.

How to disassemble the remote?

Every home has household appliances that operate from a remote control. Over time, the remote can fail for various reasons. And in order to repair or clean the device, you will need to disassemble it.

How to disassemble the remote control

To perform this procedure, you only need a small screwdriver or a kitchen knife (preferably blunt).

  1. Before starting work, you must remove the batteries or accumulators by opening the back cover of the device.
  2. If there are fixing fasteners in the battery compartment, then the remote control is disassembled by unscrewing them. Just unscrew the bolts or screws to disassemble the device case. Otherwise, the upper and lower parts of the housing are interconnected by internal snap-on elements.
  3. Insert the tip of a screwdriver into the junction of the body parts and carefully pry one of them, while applying sufficient force.
  • The disadvantage of this method is that there is a risk of scratching the body of the remote control or even breaking the snap fasteners. Therefore, if you do not want to spoil the aesthetic appearance of the device, then use a plastic or rubber tool;
  • Before disassembling the device, lay a white sheet of paper so as not to lose small parts;
  • If there are fasteners, remember their location, as difficulties may arise during further assembly;
  • If the batteries are in an oxidized state, they need to be replaced. Use rechargeable batteries whenever possible (non-oxidizing and have a long service life). For proper operation of the remote control, it will also be necessary to clean the contacts and remove contaminants;
  • If the battery cover is broken, it is better to replace it;
  • Be careful with small parts and microcircuits.

How to clean the remote control

  1. Remove the batteries or accumulators from the compartment and disassemble the device as described above.
  2. The disassembled device consists of a case, a microcircuit and a rubber gasket with control buttons. All items must be thoroughly cleaned.
  3. Carefully remove dirt from the chip using a soft cloth with a cleaning solution (you can use a small amount of shampoo, dishwashing detergent or regular soap). In no case do not use hard brushes and sponges, as you can damage the coating of the microcircuit, on which the performance of the remote control depends. In extreme cases, you can clean the circuit by hand. For the best effect, the cleanser can be replaced with alcohol (cologne, vodka and other alcohol-containing liquids will not work). When working, do not wet the board too much. At the end of the procedure, dry the circuit thoroughly (you can use a hairdryer).
  4. The rubber seal and housing can be cleaned of dirt and grease by rinsing with warm water. Allow the components to dry thoroughly to avoid rapid oxidation of the internal contacts of the remote control or improper operation of the device (use a hair dryer or dry the parts on the battery).
  5. Then assemble the remote control, insert the batteries and check the operation of the device.
  6. If some of the buttons do not work, then the problem is not in the dirt. In this case, the defective keys will need to be replaced. To fix the problem, you need to purchase a repair kit (you can buy it in the household goods department). The set includes new buttons and silicone adhesive. Glue the buttons to replace the old ones on the rubber gasket and let dry.

By the way, the correct operation of the remote control depends on its settings. Look for tips on automatic and manual tuning in our article.

The most common defect, unintentionally included in the design of remote control manufacturers, is poor contact between the "plus" and "negative" terminals with the power supply. Made from an alloy that is not quite suitable for such devices, they easily bend and lose their former elasticity in operation (especially after the warranty period has expired). Violation of the springiness of these terminals can be eliminated quickly and permanently by laying non-rigid rubber between them and the end of the board (for example, a stationery eraser), which will securely press the contacts to the batteries.

The second most common defect of the remote control is the deterioration of the contact of the graphite printed elements of the board with the conductive rubber pressed against them by the control buttons. The reason is fat caught between the buttons and contacts of the board, a decrease in the quality of the rubber itself, from which, after 2 to 3 years of operation, an oily substance is released as a result of a chemical reaction. By covering the printed circuit board, it interferes with the contacts.

Another common malfunction is when the most popular buttons stop working, or work, but only with increased pressure. This wears out the conductive coating of the contacts of the rubber base. The rubber contacts under the buttons physically wear out, losing their electrical conductivity. The graphite elements of the printed circuit board are also subject to wear. In such cases, you need to replace the rubber with buttons with new ones (they are sold on radio markets). This repair kit consists of small conductive circles and glue, which you will need to glue over the old, worn rubber-based conductive contacts.

And the printed circuit board must be carefully cleaned of the released viscous liquid with a dry soft cloth. Graphite contacts are easy to restore with a "soft" stationery pencil.

But - attention! Contrary to the practice common among radio amateurs, in no case should graphite contacts on a printed circuit board be wiped with alcohol, cologne (and even more so with solvents). From alcohol-containing substances and solvents, graphite is destroyed.

You can make sure that the remote control board is working as follows. Having assembled the remote control in the case, you should not rush to put a rubber mat with buttons on its intended place. But the power supply should be inserted. Then, with a mini-pointer twisted from foil, it is necessary to alternately (through the holes for the buttons) touch all the graphite contacts on the printed circuit board.

If the TV responds normally to commands from the remote control, then the board of the latter is working, and you only need to change the rubber with buttons.

If there is no reaction, then the reason for the failure of the remote control may be the soldering of infrared emitters, capacitors, quartz resonators or microcracks on the board itself as a result of falling and shock.

It happens that it is not possible to buy new tires. However, you should not despair - you need to restore the old one. It is necessary to separate the black contact plates from all the buttons on the back of the rubber mat. Then, with any glue for rubber, glue new ones to the vacated places. You can find workable contact plates in many old electronic devices recognized for other reasons as unsuitable for use: calculators, push-button phones, etc.

Contact plates made of conductive rubber are carefully removed, cut with a sharp blade or scalpel to the required diameter and then glued onto the rubber mat of the remote control. Given that the "donor" plates can have different dimensions, they cut off the excess with a blade, ensuring that the thickness of the plates does not exceed 1 mm (otherwise the remote control buttons will be constantly "pressed").

The scheme of the remote control assembly.

1 - front part of the body; 2 - button; 3 - rubber mat; 4 - contact plate made of conductive rubber (in the repaired version, there may be a "contact" foil from cigarettes); 5 - printed circuit board with conductive circuit elements; 6 - rear part of the body; 7 - galvanic cell; 8 - power supply compartment cover; 9 - screw; number of parts 2, 4, 7 and 9 - depending on the specific type of device

Other repair methods

To begin with, the remote control must be disassembled. Despite the different sizes and appearance, all consoles are essentially the same.

We take out the batteries and at the same time look at the mounting screws in the battery compartment, which may be under the factory stickers. Swipe the sticker with a screwdriver, if it pushes through, then there is a screw under it.

The body of the remote control consists of two halves, interconnected either by screws, or by a latch, or using both methods. Try using a thin knife to carefully separate the halves of the remote control.

We carefully insert the tip of the knife into the gap between the halves of the body and try to push them apart until a click appears. A click indicates that one of the latches has opened. It is important here to find and snap off the first latch, the rest will go easily. Try to do everything carefully so as not to break the latches, and even if you break one or two, it doesn’t matter, the remote control will not close worse from this: checked. You can also disconnect it with two thin screwdrivers, or combine a knife and a screwdriver, as you like.

If you are disassembling the remote control for the first time, it is preferable to work with a knife and a screwdriver. First, slip the tip of the screwdriver into the slot between the halves of the case and, slowly moving the screwdriver along the case, look for the first latch. As soon as you find it, snap it off, but leave the screwdriver stuck near the latch, and then continue to work with the tip of the knife. When you reach the next latch with the knife, you can insert a second screwdriver and continue moving with the tip of the knife, or continue moving with the first screwdriver. In a nutshell, do what feels right for you.

When, for example, the left half is slightly opened, carefully, without removing the knife, move it along the body, snapping off the latches until the remote control is fully opened. Carefully remove the board and the rubber base with buttons. Pay attention to the battery compartment. There are grooves in which the spring contacts are inserted, so before pulling out the board, remember how they fit in the grooves so that there are no questions during assembly.

If you look closely at the board from the side of the tracks and at the rubber base from the side of the contacts, you can see that in some places they seem to be smeared with a thick layer of adhesive mass. This is fat. Because of this fatty layer, there is poor contact between the graphic coating of the board and the contacts of the rubber base, which is why we have to press the buttons with force in order for the remote to execute our commands.

Take a sponge for washing dishes, lather with soap, and clean off the fat from the board, the rubber base and the halves of the remote control case. Then wash off the soap foam under running warm water. Wash off grease only with soapy water and nothing else.

Now all the elements must be wiped dry and additionally dried with a hairdryer, or put on a hot coil in the bathroom for thirty minutes through a thin layer of matter.
Gather your "little friend" and sitting in a chair, switching channels, enjoy his work, and at the same time your own. As a rule, after such preventive maintenance, the remote control starts working like new.

If that doesn't work, go to plan B.

Wipe the circuit board and rubber pad with alcohol using cotton swabs (not too hard - so as not to erase the contact coating). It is better not to use gasoline and acetone here.

Take a piece of thin foil (from candy wrappers, chocolate, for cooking), scissors and superglue. From the foil, cut small squares according to the size of the contact pads of the rubber “mat”. Alternatively, instead of foil, use foil paper, such as from cigarettes. By the way, I tried to use it, it lasted about six months. Let's see how long the foil lasts.

Superglue and foil squares

Using glue, carefully stick pieces of foil onto the contact pads of the “mat”. It should turn out something like this.

Let the glue dry and assemble the remote. Everything should work.

Video instruction for repairing the remote control in this way

This method of repairing the remote control, which is called on the forehead.

There are more sophisticated ways, such as the way to repair the remote control:

“One volume of silicone glue is placed in a glass bottle (you don’t need much, since the solution cannot be stored for a long time, and a few drops are enough for the remote control). Then about two volume parts of gasoline are added, the vessel is immediately closed and shaken vigorously. Silicone adhesive must be completely mixed with gasoline, forming a homogeneous milky mass. After that, one to two parts by volume of graphite powder is added to the mixture, and it is again shaken vigorously. If the solution is too dense, it can be diluted again with gasoline.
The “old” contact pads of the rubber mat are cleaned with an ink (red) eraser or fine sandpaper, the remnants of dirt and grease are removed with alcohol (gasoline cannot be used here!).
Now take a little of the prepared solution with a disposable syringe, select the optimal dosage on a piece of paper and then apply a drop of the solution to the conductive surface. Due to surface tension, a small but clearly visible swelling should occur. After setting the solution, it disappears. If something goes wrong, you can still intervene in the process using a cotton handkerchief.
The setting of the solution lasts about 24 hours. During this time, the rubber mat must be stationary.”

We take an old keyboard from a computer, take a metal tube, sharpen the edges to sharpness and knock out holes with patches on the film - not a single repetition in three years. We glue them on the contact pads of the “mat” of the remote control using a suitable glue.

A couple more ways from craftsmen

What do you need:

Method 1

Copper wire
Hammer
wire cutters
Tweezers

we take copper wire size 0.2-0.4 spitting it with the help of a hammer and a ratchet head (well, a wrench) with an interval of about 1 cm, it should look like something like this, a schematic designation (----- This is a wire, “O” is flattening place) (--O--O--O--O --O--O--O--O--O--O--O),
cut off the element (--O), stick the left end of the element into the button next to the button, bend the flattened part of the element (--O) over the conductive rubber

the second option is more tempting, you can try to make it like a harpoon so that the contact does not fly out. Choose the size carefully so as not to prick your finger. see photo.

By the way, it works, in my opinion much clearer.

For those who are friends with a soldering iron

If all of the above methods did not help, you can try to additionally go through the soldering iron on its electronic components in order to eliminate possible non-solders, especially for spring contacts for batteries.

With a well-tinned soldering iron tip, from the side of the printed conductors, touch the soldering point of the output of the radio component, and as soon as the tin begins to melt, remove the soldering iron tip. Do not solder only the pins of the microcircuit, you can overheat it or close the pins and tracks with solder. Typically, microcircuits rarely fail. But if it so happens that you need to solder the microcircuit, be extremely careful, and at the end, be sure to check the leads and tracks so that there are no drops of solder between them.

Now we can say with full confidence that the remote control you repaired will work for a long time. Thus, almost all remote control units are reanimated.

A TV is a technical apparatus, a complex mechanical system operating on physical-optical, wave and other principles, and, like all technology, it is prone to breakdowns. The same applies to the well-known control panel, the primary sample of which was created by Nikola Tesla himself in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. To date, breakdowns of the control panel are not uncommon, but what to do in such a situation, and whether it is possible to cope with the problem on your own - more on that later.

What is a TV remote control

Over time, remote controls became more and more perfect and self-sufficient, which led to the creation in the second half of the 20th century of a remote control (RC) capable of making an industrial machine work from a distance.

This device is being improved to this day and allows not only from close range, but also from other rooms, rooms to control household appliances, in particular the TV, without much difficulty.

What to say if you managed to create a car or even a helicopter on the remote control. Among the manufacturers of high-quality equipment that have gained a foothold in the market and have earned a name for themselves, there are several - Samsung (which you can read about in more detail below), Philips (Philips), Sony (Sony), Panasonic (Panasonic), LG (LJI), as well as a set of common models e.g. Supra, Mystery, adam24p20g board based models, rmctph1ap1, rmctpj1ap2, z1025, rmctpf2ap1.

The classification of remote controls for TVs depends on a variety of criteria, for example:

  1. Consoles with one built-in program, acting only on its basis.
  2. Universal control panels - those that include several programs at once.
  3. The so-called learning consoles, which means that with due desire and minimal skill, you can program such devices to your taste and make them literally for yourself by adding new programs.

The TV remote control works most often based on infrared electromagnetic radiation, which the human eye does not see, but allows you to give commands literally from almost any distance. The principle of operation in general terms is an interconnected system of programmed commands, activated by pressing a certain button, giving a signal to further details and so on through magnetic waves all the way to the TV itself.

Parsing the remote control from the Samsung TV

As already noted, one of the most common and well-known manufacturers of television devices and remote controls for them is Samsung, which today has a bright reputation and firmly holds its position in the market.

A relatively recent development from Samsung Smart TV deserves special attention.

In a short time, Smart TV has earned public recognition and a high positive feedback rate. The most convenient and most sensitive touchpad (sensor) is built-in, which allows you to quickly and habitually work in an accessible browser or perform other commands, as well as a host of other obvious advantages.

The smart system, like the remote control for the TV with it, is a convenient service that has the following features and benefits:

  1. Allows you to control several devices at once, starting with the TV itself, which has the Smart program, including the set-top box connected to it, and ending with other native programs and players.
  2. Convenience and modernity, because this program is connected to the network and allows you to most comfortably adapt your TV and DVD to your tastes and quickly adapt to new preferences.
  3. Manufacturability, which is determined, for example, by the ability to control via search using voice commands, the presence of a modern and high-tech tuner.

It doesn't matter if you lost the remote control, because the program allows you to install the application on your phone - it will be like a replacement for it, as well as a preview of some functions in the radiotelephone. Ease of connection, because, like almost everywhere, you only need an audio cable.

Reasons: why the TV does not respond to the remote control

Most of us have experienced the problem when we desperately try to switch to our favorite TV channel, pressing all possible buttons and making all possible attempts, but alas, the remote does not show signs of life, some heat up after turning on, and the TV will not respond to its imperatives, and the channels do not switch or only with difficulty, and the buttons themselves are either not pressed at all, or to no avail, whatever they do. Well, if the TV turns on.

The nature of such problems may lie in the following possible aspects:

  1. The energy of the batteries was simply wasted, due to which the remote control began to lose contact with the TV, because it is with the help of it that the basic impetus to the operation of the device occurs.
  2. They stick, sink (jam), the buttons themselves do not work well, which can be found on the remote control, which was previously filled with liquids, received mechanical damage or was misused, which is also a fairly common ailment of all remote controls.
  3. Natural wear and tear, which means erasing or mechanical damage to the surface that receives the signal, due to which the entire remote control in the complex stopped working (button coating or touch plates under the buttons).

Temporary wear and tear is also quite likely, since I don’t always wash my hands before using the remote control, and many people like to have a bite to eat something that leaves large particles of seasoning, crumbs and the like, which will eventually clog the internal cavity of the remote control.

This breakdown will not allow all, or only some of the most important parts, to work.

Do not rush to throw away the device with the black inscription “Broken” and shake your wallet in anticipation of a new one, because often remote control malfunctions can be solved by yourself and as soon as possible at home by disassembling and briefly repairing.

Instructions: how to clean the TV remote control

Let's start with the most superficial and simple task - to clean the control panel with our own hands, and thereby restore its performance and functionality. It should also be indicated that the remote control should be cleaned periodically.

In order to realize our plans, you should first deal with the main components of each remote control, the scheme of which looks like this:

  1. The body is the base, on the surface of which there is a touchpad or buttons, and in itself - the entire mechanism of action.
  2. Covers in certain areas of the case, designed to hide and additionally fix the batteries and all other elements of the remote control.
  3. A printed circuit board or microcircuit, to which a rubber contact plate is attached and adjacent, designed to convert the signal of a certain pressed button into a sequence of electromagnetic pulses with their subsequent transmission to the TV.
  4. An emitter (a system of two transistors, resonators, capacitors and resistors), which actually performs the function of the genesis of electromagnetic waves.
  5. A plate of plastic or rubber buttons.

As for the process itself, cleaning the tricolor remote control inside looks easy. It is necessary to prepare a repair kit with the necessary basic tools with which we will reanimate the device. We unscrew the bolts or screws, open the latches and expose the insides of the patient, it is best to open the case with a plastic or thin metal card so as not to tear or break the clamps and latches.

We carefully take out the board, and if there are clips on it, we first open them too. Next, you should get, as a rule, rubber buttons. Wash the parts, while everything should be done very carefully.

Electromagnetic parts are best simply wiped thoroughly with a damp cloth or rag to remove dust.

The board (microcircuit) should be gently wiped with a small amount of alcohol, but lubricating the rubber plate is unacceptable, because there we risk washing off and erasing all the necessary contacts.

A distinctive feature of LG remotes is that the buttons are mainly built into the top panel of the case and are not removed along with the internal components, which makes them somewhat difficult to clean, but this is solved by putting a thermal cover or other film on it.

Schematically, the analysis of the LG remote looks like this:

  • First you need to get the batteries behind the cover on the back of the remote control;
  • Gently draw a thin surface along the slot, unhook the clamps, open the lid;
  • Remove the board and remove the rubber contact plate;
  • After carrying out the necessary procedures, assemble the remote control in the reverse order.

Fundamentally, the disassembly of the LG TV remote control does not differ from the disassembly of any other remote control, with the exception of a number of special properties inherent in a particular manufacturer. After all that has been done, you should dry the elements with an air conditioner and assemble in the reverse order, then check the operation and the remote control for operability and proper assembly.

This can be done using any camera that the remote control sensor is pointing at and any button is pressed.

After the final check - feel free to use the remote control. Using this procedure, you can significantly improve performance and even return the remote control to its original quality, even for those who are not particularly versed in technology.

The nuances of repairing remote controls for a TV

As noted above, you can carry out initial preventive maintenance and restoration, or you can repair the TV remote control in more depth without preparation.

However, the following should be taken into account:

  1. If you want to repair the remote control, you can do it yourself.
  2. They will take a decent amount for banal operations for the work, if we are not talking about replacing the main components, which, by the way, you can also replace yourself.
  3. Most likely, it will take time, at a time when personal repairs will cost a maximum of an hour of free time.

However, if it comes to serious damage, for example, to the board or contacts on the rubber plate, in order to replace it, the services of a qualified specialist may come in handy to repair and restore it.

Do-it-yourself TV remote control repair steps

We consider the case of a serious internal breakdown, when the total mass of buttons works, and random buttons that break most often, such as Guide on Philips models, Set, Select, Source, Pairing and other standard ones.

In this case, you should do the following:

  • It is necessary to disassemble the remote control according to the scheme described above;
  • Next, you should clean everything according to the scheme described above;
  • Thoroughly clean the pad and record from grease and dust;
  • Apply glue to the non-working button;
  • Pour a small amount of pre-prepared graphite (you can tear it off a graphite plate or pencil);
  • After the glue dries, get rid of the excess;
  • Assemble the remote control and check the operation of the button as described earlier.

Do-it-yourself TV remote control repair (video)

In conclusion, it is worth noting that repair services can be provided by well-known and affordable companies that repair equipment, be it Rostelecom, Beeline, Zala (hall) or another organization. Take care of your appliances and they will last a long time.

The body of the remote control is held on latches located on its upper or lower part.

Insert a screwdriver into the junction of the body parts. Pry off the top or bottom of it and, with an effort, disassemble the remote control. You will see that it consists of three main parts: Body;
Remote control microcircuit;
Rubberized pad with control buttons

Wipe the chip with a cleaning solution. Remove dirt from the remote control TV and on the pad with buttons. If the contamination is too strong, which happens from many years of using the remote control in a plastic bag, thoroughly rinse all its parts with water, except, of course, the microcircuit. The main thing is to let them dry well before assembling the remote control so that they do not provoke accelerated oxidation processes already in the assembled device.

Every home has household appliances, which are usually supplied remote control remote control. Such a remote control is very convenient, since it can be used to control equipment from a distance. However, remotes very often break down and require repair. How to disassemble the remote control to repair it?

You will need

  • Screwdriver made of plastic or hard rubber, a blank sheet of paper.

Instruction

Prepare a clean surface. It is best to lay a white sheet of paper, as small details that are very easy to lose will be clearly visible on it. Study your remote carefully. The assembly principle for all consoles is approximately the same, the difference is in the location of the mounting bolts and latches. Read the instruction manual for household appliances, the remote control of which you need to disassemble. Very often there is a diagram of the structure of the console. It will help you properly disassemble the remote control without breaking any details.

Remove the cover of the compartment where the batteries are located. Examine the latch of this compartment. It breaks very often and begins to detach itself from the body. If the latch is broken, it must be replaced, since it is useless to glue the broken piece. Remove the batteries. Make sure that the batteries are not oxidized. Examine the contacts in the compartment. They must be clean, free of stains and foreign coating. If the batteries are oxidized, then you will have to clean all the contacts, otherwise the remote control may not work. It is also recommended to buy rechargeable batteries instead of batteries. They are good because they do not oxidize. You can also save money by using batteries.

Now make sure that all the bolts on the body are removed, if any. Try to remember the location of the removed bolts, as they may vary slightly. Now take a plastic screwdriver, insert it into the gap between the two parts of the remote and press lightly. Now your task is to find all the internal latches and open them. Use a screwdriver made of plastic or hard rubber only, as a regular screwdriver can easily break the plastic of the remote control. Press very carefully so as not to inadvertently break the latches. When you open all the latches, you can detach the parts of the remote. Be extremely careful, as there are a large number of tiny parts inside that can be easily damaged. If necessary, clean the rubber keyboard.

Carry out all work with the utmost care so as not to accidentally break parts and latches.

The work of an electrical repairman, for the most part, is to repair not some complex equipment, but "light combat" equipment - consoles remote control from TVs or radios. These devices become unusable much more often than the devices themselves, which are controlled by these consoles. Most of the malfunctions that occur in these consoles can be done by any man if he disassembles this console. In this article, you will learn what needs to be done to fix the remote control from TV at home.

You will need

  • Remote control, soldering iron, a set of replaceable rubber products.

Instruction

Inside the body of the remote control, under the channel keys, there are small rubber products that have the shape of a circle with a hole. If you replace these rubber bands, the remote control will take on a new life. Also, the problem may lie in the contamination of the contacts to which the keyboard buttons are adjacent or in the break of some wires. To solve the problems of "dirty contacts" it is enough to use cotton wool soaked in alcohol or cologne. To solve the problem of "broken wires" it is worth using a heated soldering iron. Just solder any connecting wires that are out of place.

Unplug the TV from the outlet. With this action, you will de-energize it. Never attempt to disassemble the TV while the plug is plugged in. This may cause a short circuit. Usually the cord is disconnected from the TV case, so it is better to remove it so that it does not interfere in the future. Cover the surface on which you will disassemble the TV with a light, not very thin cloth. On light, small details will be very clearly visible. And the fabric will avoid scratches on the case.

Using the instruction manual, find the location of all the screws connecting the parts of the case. Carefully unscrew them from the slots. Some screws may be covered with plugs. Try to remember the location of all the screws so that you do not mix them up during assembly. Now the case is held only by plastic latches. Open them and detach the back of the case. The TV is completely disassembled. It remains only to find the problem and fix it.

If your computer chair breaks down and you decide to try and fix it yourself, the first problem you may run into is how to take it apart. Disassembling and repairing a computer chair is not difficult if you know some of the nuances. Such repairs are quite possible to do it yourself.

You will need

  • - flat screwdriver;
  • - rubber mallet;
  • - hammer;
  • - crosshead screwdriver;
  • - ring punch

Instruction

Turn the computer chair upside down and unscrew the four screws connecting the seat of the chair to the height adjustment mechanism - the piastra. Remove the chair seat.

Disconnect the piastra from the gas lift

Since there are no threaded connections at the attachment point of these parts, you can knock the piastra off the gas lift by lightly tapping it with a hammer. For this type of work, it is recommended to use a rubber mallet so as not to damage or bend the piastra. It should be noted that if the chair has been in use for a long time, then in order to disconnect these parts, considerable effort may be required.

Remove the cross from the gas lift

Examine the gas lift. In its lower part there is a special fixing washer, which instantly breaks when struck with a hammer. Therefore, in order to disconnect the cross from the gas lift, it is necessary to use a special tool - an annular punch. Put down the cross

Sometimes when switching channels, you may notice that the buttons do not work well. This is a signal that the device needs to be cleaned. As a rule, the reason for the incorrect operation of the remote control is the remains of food, and sometimes spilled liquid on it: tea, juice or coffee. Of course, you need to eat in specially designated places, but the temptation is still great. So, let's look at how to disassemble the LG TV remote control so that you can easily switch channels and change TV settings whenever you want, quickly and easily, without nerves.

Stage 1

First, examine the remote control itself (how the back cover is fixed). The further course of action will be as follows:

  • Open the back cover.
  • Remove the batteries and see how the mounting screws are located in the compartment.

Important! They are small in size, you can unscrew them using a Phillips screwdriver.

  • Loosen the screws.

Stage 2

Using a plastic card, carefully pry up the cover. Next, draw a card along the entire contour of the body. Then, being extremely careful, remove the battery contacts from the grooves.

Stage 3

After you have removed the back cover, pay attention to how the board is fixed:

  • If it is set on screws, it is enough to unscrew them.
  • If it is secured with latches, then you need to carefully open them.

Stage 4

Pay attention to how the IR diode is located in the socket in order to understand how to further disassemble the remote control from an LG, Philips TV or any other model:

  • In most cases, it is not fixed at all.
  • If it is fixed in the socket, remove it. Be very careful when doing this. Then remove the board.

Stage 5

Removing the rubber buttons is quite simple:

  • Shake them out of their nests.
  • If they do not shake out, then press them from the front side.

Now you can do what you disassembled the device for - cleaning it. And it's much easier.

You may ask: how to disassemble the Sony TV remote control? Similarly, since the devices are arranged according to the same principle. Using the given instructions, you will successfully cope with the task.

Remote control cleaning

In order to clean the device from contamination, prepare the following devices:

  • Alcohol or alcohol-containing liquid.
  • A small brush with soft bristles.
  • Clean pieces of soft cloth.

Using this kit, you can carry out external cleaning every week without disassembling the device.

footage

In the future, try to keep the device away from food and drinks. To prevent the remote control from becoming very dirty, purchase a special cover for it. It will protect the device from contamination. In this case, the question of how to disassemble the Philips, LG or Sony TV remote control will not bother you too often.
