In hardware, we have an analogue of HTC Desire 600 (the same microprocessor, amount of RAM), but there is only one SIM card (although HTC Desire 500 has modifications with 2 SIM cards, but they are not supplied to our market) and the screen has the smallest diagonal and the smallest resolution. Programmatically, we are dealing with Android 4.1 and HTC Sense 5.0 (it contains a proprietary application that automatically creates 30-second video clips from photo albums, which was shown for the first time on HTC One). Well, the Desire 500 costs a thousand hryvnia less, which looks presentable. Surely, this phone can be called a replacement for the HTC One SV model, which made very suitable memories for me. Compared to the One SV, the Desire 500 has improved performance and feels like a slightly better camera. Although she has lost the ability to record videos in FullHD.

To say that HTC Desire 500 looks presentable is to say nothing. A beautiful lacquered body, a beautiful view, neat proportions by modern standards, a screen protruding as a step (I saw such a solution for the first time, I remember, in the Nokia 700 and there it also looked curious, although in that phone the step was at the bottom, while the Desire 500 top).
The screen of HTC Desire can be called evenly catchy, with good viewing angles. The manufacturer does not declare the technology of its production anywhere, and there is nowhere to test it in the brightest sun at this time of year. But otherwise I liked everything, apart from the huge number of small scratches that appeared after a couple of weeks of use. In general, this is not very indicative, since I manage to scratch any monitors, despite the fact that I never carry phones in the same pocket with the keys (however, I almost always carry them in 2 or even 3 in one pocket).

Let me remind you that the context menu key in Android has become superfluous - a special key has appeared in most applications.
