How to set up your new Samsung Galaxy S7. How to set up the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Samsung Galaxy A7 user manual

As it turns out, when working with a smartphone, a lot of questions often arise that seem quite obvious to many, and the answers are simple. Nevertheless, not all users manage to do such simple things as put the desired melody on a contact, optimize the phone, and the like. So we decided to insert a small guide into the material, instructions on the most popular operations on the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017).

How to set a ringtone to a contact in Galaxy A7 (2017)

Often we want to highlight individual contacts with our melody - so that we know immediately who is calling. This is not as difficult as it seems.

Having revealed the detailed information about the contact, you need to switch to the edit mode by clicking the "Edit" inscription at the top of the application.

In the form that opens, expand the Options item and find there the inscription "Ringtone". A melody can be selected both from the prepared list and from the file system - to go to files and folders, go to the item "From device memory" at the very bottom.

In theory, that's all. If something is not clear, then the same process can be seen in our video:

How to put a photo on a Galaxy A7 (2017) pin

A photo for an individual contact greatly simplifies the right person in the address book.

To install it, you need to open Contacts on your smartphone, and then hold your finger on the contact you need until the context menu appears. In it, select the Properties item.

After that, you will need to go into editing mode, for which you will have to click on the "Change" inscription at the top.

The choice of a photo for a contact is activated by clicking on the avatar to the left of the name. Then you can choose an image from the gallery. Note that Galaxy A7 (2017) allows you to additionally edit the photo for a contact. We filmed the whole process just in case:

How to set a ringtone for Galaxy A7 (2017)

A melody for a contact is good, but there is also a general call melody, which is not so easy to set.

The corresponding change can be made in the settings, namely the section "Sounds and vibration". Inside there is a subsection "Ringtone".

Everything is very simple here: click on the "Ringtone" item, choose the one you like from the list, and if you want to put something of your own, then at the very bottom there is the "From device memory" option. You just have to choose the track that you like. If you have a Duos version of a smartphone, then the melody can be installed on each of the SIM cards separately. All this can be additionally seen in the video:

How to create a folder in Galaxy A7 (2017)

Sometimes on smartphones you have to work directly with files and folders. The file manager is used for this, which is installed on most devices.

To create a folder on the Galaxy A7 (2017) in the regular file manager, you need to go to the memory area that you need and call the context menu by clicking on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner. Here you need the item "Create folder".

How to clear phone memory on Galaxy A7 (2017)

Clearing the memory of a smartphone is not easy. The solution is straightforward - through the file manager to delete or transfer unnecessary files and folders to the flash card. And what if they are not there anyway, and everything is littered with no one knows what? The way out is to use special applications that can delete unnecessary files, usually consisting of the cache of various programs. In the case of Samsung smartphones, a built-in utility is offered.

It is located in the settings, hidden behind the Optimization section.

To achieve the desired effect, go to the Memory section by clicking on the corresponding icon below. And then the matter is small - press the "Clear" button! If something is not clear, then our video will help you:

How to Transfer Contacts from SIM Card to Galaxy A7 (2017) Phone

Unbelievable, but true - someone continues to store contacts on the SIM card! Or sometimes you just come across an old SIM card, where they are stored, and therefore everything must be transferred to the smartphone's memory. This is easy to do.

Everything happens in the Contacts application, where a context menu opens in the upper right corner. The item "Settings" is of the greatest interest in it.

In the new list, you will need to go to the "Import / Export Contacts" section, and then click on the IMPORT button.

And then the matter is small: choose a source for import, that is, a SIM card. The second step is to choose where to save your contacts. And finally, the final step is to select contacts to save and apply all changes. Again, this is all in a short video:

How to Switch SIM Cards on Galaxy A7 (2017)

Dual SIM smartphones are not uncommon today, and therefore sometimes questions arise how to work with a pair of SIM cards.

It's actually very simple. First of all, in the dialer, after dialing the number, you can choose which of the SIM cards to call. Further, if you pull down the notification panel, there is an additional panel under the quick settings with information about which SIM card is used by default for voice calls, SMS messages and the Internet (Mobile data).

If you click on this panel, you will be taken to the "SIM-cards manager", also accessible from the smartphone settings. Here you can change the main SIM card for calls, SMS and internet. Something like this, but if something is wrong, then here's another video:

Unplug the charger from your device first, then from the electrical outlet. To save energy, unplug the charger when not in use. The charger does not have a power switch, so it must be disconnected to interrupt the charging process and save energy. When in use, the charger should fit snugly into the outlet and be easily accessible. Reducing power consumption Here are a few tips to help you save battery power. By following these guidelines and disabling background features, you can extend the battery life between charges: When not in use, put your device into sleep mode by pressing the power button. Close unnecessary applications using the task manager. Disable Bluetooth connectivity. Disable the Wi-Fi function. Disable auto-sync apps. Reduce the backlight time. Decrease the screen brightness. 17 Getting started Using a memory card Inserting a memory card Your device supports memory cards with a maximum capacity of 64 GB. The device supports memory cards with FAT and exFAT file systems. If you insert a memory card with a file system other than FAT, the device will ask you to format the card. Frequent writing and erasing of data will shorten the lifespan of memory cards. In this article, you will learn:

At the end of last year, the manufacturing company Samsung Electronics announced the launch of a fashionable new Galaxy A series. Smartphones have all-metal cases and a single design.

The gadgets aroused not only interest among users, but also a lot of questions. They are especially interested in how to set up the Samsung Galaxy A7?

You will learn how to set up your smartphone in this article. Detailed instructions will help with this, as always.

Camera

Let's start with how to set up the camera in the Samsung Galaxy A7. You can even start it from standby mode. This is done by pressing the central button on the device. The launch takes place almost instantly.

On a quick look at the camera, it appears that there are no changes in the new model. In fact, this is so, the placement of elements on the screen, the structure of the menu, the principles of increasing functionality due to proprietary expansion - all this can be seen in the new device.

Shooting starts when you press the camera or camera button. Using the "mode" button, you can select the main shooting mode displayed at the top of the screen. At the bottom right there is a square from the last picture you took.

At the top right is the automatic mode. And the button located at the top left allows you to switch the front and main camera (for those who like to make video calls and selfies).

The settings can be turned on traditionally, using the gear located at the bottom left.

Indicator light

The switching on of the light indication of various events on the smartphone takes place under the control of the Android OS.

Your phone will notify you of missed messages, calls, and when your battery is low.

The device has a special indicator light that prompts users about the events that have occurred with the device.

To customize the indicator light, do the following:

  • Open the menu, select "settings" - "notification indicator"

you can use the search function in the settings section (icon with a magnifying glass) for the phrase "notification indicator"

  • Check the boxes in the required sections.
  • The indicator light is set.

Flash notifications

The light indication of events using the flash can turn on in different ways on different versions of Android.

For example, on Android 4th version: "Settings" - "My device" - "Indicator".

On later OS versions: "Accessibility" - "Hearing" - "Flash notification". Thus, a notification is configured using a flash directly during a call or a message.

Missed events notification can be configured as follows: "Accessibility" - "Notification reminders"

Also, for more advanced customization of light indication, you can use some applications (for example, Light Flow)

Mobile internet settings

Now let's find out how to set up the Internet in Samsung Galaxy A7.

For the Internet, you must first create a profile. It depends on which mobile operator you are using. If you don't, then an error will occur when trying to access the Internet.

If this does not happen, ask your operator for a special service message (it contains the settings you need). The gear envelope icon means the settings are automatically set.

Reset

Formation, factory reset means a hard reset process. This procedure may be required in various technical situations.

For example, the phone does not work somehow, errors or malfunctions appear, it starts to glitch. Also, reset will help you out if you cannot enter the pattern or password.

Technical problems often arise if you download a large number of programs, applications, games that do not get along in one device.

The Galaxy A7 menu contains a directory called "settings". If you go here, you will see "backup, reset". With its help, you can reset the settings. This can be done in two ways.

  1. Find "reset device". Then click delete all. The phone has been completely updated. This method is used by most gadget users. However, it doesn't always help. Therefore, we pass to the second method.
  2. Turn off your smartphone. Press simultaneously the combination - "turn on", "home", "volume up". You will see the Android icon appear on the screen. Wait for the Android recovery system to appear. The next action is Yes - delete all user data ", activate it. The settings are reset. Perform a test reboot by clicking "reboot system now". The process is complete.

Dealing with the settings in the Samsung Galaxy A7 is quite simple. I hope the article was useful to you, and the new smartphone will continue to delight you.
