3. How to make a phone case using braid

How to sew a case with your own hands

1. First, you need to find out what size your future case will be. You can use two halves of felt of different colors. In this example, we used dark green for the back of the case and white for the front.

2. Both halves are connected manually using thread. A double thread is used (see picture).

3. The back of the case is longer to allow the case to be closed.

4. Sew a small strip of felt at the top of the cover, as shown in the image.

5. To decorate the case, you can prepare several strips of different colors and glue them to the case. If you don't have glue, you can sew them on.

How to sew a phone case with your own hands

You will need:

1. Print out the diagram of the cover and use an awl to make holes indicated by the dots.

2. Cut out the sample.

3. Hand stitch the thread through the leather swatch.

4. To ensure a strong seam, it is better to stitch 3 times.

5. Fasten the left and right sides as shown in the picture, and connect them with thread.

6. Apply glue to the bottom of the cover and glue it on the inside.

How to make a case with your own hands.

You will need:

A piece of unwanted leather clothing

Scissors

Sewing machine (you can just use a needle and thread)

1. Prepare a material from which you will later need to cut 3 equal parts - 2 will be used as the front and back of the case, and the third piece for decoration.

2. Place the phone on the material and mark approximately 2.5cm from the top part.

3. To decorate the cover, you need to cut the third piece of fabric in half.

4. It's time to cut the fabric into 3 equal parts.

5. Place the two pieces on top of each other and measure approximately 2.5cm from the top.

6. Carefully make a fringe from the halves of the third part.

7. Sew each fringed half to the front and back of the cover as shown in the picture.

8. Cut one piece to the left and right of each fringe.

9. Use a sewing machine to connect the halves of the cover.

Sewing covers with your own hands

Making this case is very simple. This is a quick project if you need a case urgently.

Two D-rings

1. Prepare material for the strap. Fold it in half and stitch it as shown in the picture.

2. Prepare 2 pieces of fabric that will serve as the back and front of the cover (in this case, fabric with a pattern). Also prepare 2 pieces of fabric that will make up the inside of the cover (in this case, beige fabric), and 2 pieces of fabric that will cover the beige parts (blue fabric). Place each outer piece on top of the inner piece and connect them with pins.

3. Sew the strap to one of the halves of the case.

4. Place the D-rings on the strap and bend it in the opposite direction. Sew the strap with two rows of threads in the place indicated in the picture.

5. Turn this part of the cover over and cover it with a piece of blue fabric on top.

6. Prepare Velcro, which consists of 2 parts. Sew one part to one half of the cover.

7. Prepare the second half of the cover and sew it to the first.

8. Correctly measure the place where you will sew the second half of the Velcro and sew.

Your case is ready.

DIY leather case

Option 1

1. Prepare an A4 sheet and fold it in half.

2. Mark the outline of your mobile phone on one half of the paper.

3. You will get a figure like this - you need to cut it out.

4. Check if you have chosen the correct size.

5. Now you need to transfer the outline from the sheet to the skin.

You should end up with a segment like this. Fold the ends over and stitch them.

6. Check the size again.

7. Using a ruler and awl, start making holes in the piece.

8. Start sewing. In this case, the color of the thread was chosen in relation to the color of the leather of the case, and the internal seam was used.

9. If after sewing the cover turns out to be uncomfortable, you can turn it inside out, like this.

1. Using a plate, you can round the bottom of the cover.

2. Run a ribbon along the top of the cover, which should go on both sides.

3. Sew the cover around the perimeter with a double outer seam and then you can decorate it however you like, for example, attach a keychain.
