Therefore, the question immediately arises: how to remove scratches on a laptop in order to return the pristine smoothness and beauty of its surface.
Most often, such damage occurs due to frequent touching with fingers or in case of damage by foreign objects during operation. These scratches, in addition to disfiguring the appearance of the equipment, in large quantities can significantly affect the image quality if the surface of the monitor is damaged.
It is important to know that it is imperative that before removing scratches on a laptop, you must do the following:
Make sure the scratch on your laptop is recoverable and that removing it will not do more damage until the device is completely out of service or significantly degraded performance or image. To do this, if the laptop is still under warranty, take it to the service center, and if the warranty has long expired, then at least consult with a specialist if you can try to reanimate the equipment in this way;
If the procedure does not bring any problems, then you need to start with the obligatory cleansing of the damaged surface from various contaminants. It must be remembered that dirt is always present on any surface, even if it is completely invisible to ordinary vision. To do this, it will be effective to use special alcohol-based wipes for wiping a variety of optics, as well as monitors or copiers. If necessary, it is allowed to use several pieces of napkins, as long as it takes until the wet napkin after the next wiping remains absolutely clean;
After cleaning, you can begin to remove scratches on your laptop. For this, a small amount of toothpaste is most often used. It must be remembered that only regular toothpaste will do, and gel in this case will be useless. To remove scratches, it is enough to take a little paste on your finger and rub thoroughly over the damaged surface, after which, using a handkerchief or napkin, gently erase the remaining paste and prepare a small piece of cotton wool, which will be needed a little later;
The next step, if suddenly the toothpaste does not work, is to apply a small amount of petroleum jelly and wipe the previous areas again to remove scratches. To finish polishing the laptop, you need to remove the remnants with a clean napkin or a small piece of previously prepared cotton wool;
It is also a good idea to use a special polish for polishing your laptop if the surface of your laptop is damaged. They will do an excellent job of removing scratches from a laptop, especially in combination with the fact that they are not only good at eliminating the main problem, but also dust and grease marks.
It is important to remember that before you start polishing your laptop, it is better to practice on some other items, for example, on unnecessary CDs.
Let me assume that the majority of laptop users prefer to see their devices clean and beautiful. The laptop, which is covered with fingerprints, traces of dirt, scratches, does not look very representative.
To fix this somehow we need:

To remove them, we need a polishing paste (Dislex, Digitex, GOI is also possible, but very carefully, because its granularity is large), a napkin or cotton wool. Before polishing the laptop itself, I recommend practicing on damaged, scratched CDs. Apply a little polishing liquid to the place of the scratch
and three ... It is possible that you will have to once again apply polishing liquid to that place and rub it again with cotton wool or a napkin. After a couple of minutes, the shallow scratch will disappear. In the same way, you can get rid of scratches on mobile phones, iPods and other gadgets.
ATTENTION: IN NO EVENT DO NOT REMOVE SCATCHES FROM LCD SCREENS IN THIS WAY !!!... When polishing, a small top layer of material is removed and this can damage the LCD matrix!
After finishing polishing, wipe this place with a damp cloth and microfiber.
