Comparison of HTC Desire EYE and Samsung Galaxy S5. Compare HTC Desire SV vs HTC Desire mobile phones Information about other important connectivity technologies supported by the device

Seven phones were compared on six important characteristics. Which selfie smartphone turned out to be the most attractive?

Selfies are a new fashion trend, and smartphone manufacturers offer devices that allow you to take them better and more conveniently. HTC did not stand aside, and before that they were highly appreciated by the public. Her new smartphone Desire Eye pleased with a 13-megapixel front camera. How does the new device compare with other phones on the market for self-photographers?

The novelty is based on Snapdragon 801, has two gigabytes of RAM, a waterproof plastic case, a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1080p, BoomSound speakers, a 32-gigabyte drive, and a slot for memory cards microSD. The device receives energy from its 2400 mAh battery. In addition to the front, it also has a 13-megapixel camera on the back with a dual light-emitting diode (LED) flash. All this sounds pretty good, but Kunal Khullar, a columnist for the Digit.in resource, decided to compare the characteristics of the novelty with the specifications of similar phones.

If we compare the technical characteristics of devices, then HTC Desire Eye is the most attractive of those devices that are offered to connoisseurs of selfies.

How long will the selfie trend last? Is it long enough to buy a special phone for self-portraits? Will such devices be able to push the most famous flagship devices at least a little?

In May-August 2012, HTC introduced three Desire smartphones. They will have to withstand internal competition with models of the One family, announced in February and have long taken place on store shelves. And if we can leave the modest Desire C out of the comparison, then the new Desire V and Desire X will not hurt to compare with actively sold HTC devices, assessing the prospects for new products and the degree of demand from potential buyers. To complete the comparison, we have added to the set of smartphones two still popular devices from last year's lineup - Incredible S (released in the spring of 2011) and Sensation (released in the summer of 2011).

The primacy and flagship status of the One X and One S models cannot be disputed. Today, these are the most technologically advanced and most attractive smartphones of the Taiwanese company.

We included the flagship of the second half of 2011 - Sensation in the club of top devices. The device lacks the latest Sense 4.1 software shell and fancy camera optics, and has a relatively weak battery. But in other respects, Sensation is ahead of its younger competitors from the Desire line. Its trumps are a large high-resolution screen and a high-speed platform (including a powerful video accelerator). We also note support for memory cards (which the other two devices from the top segment lack) and the ability to record in HD format.

Desire X, announced on August 30th, looks like a promising smartphone to us. The device received the latest versions of Android and HTC Sense (shell number 4.1, except for Desire X, is installed only on the two “top” One models), a balanced dual-core processor, sufficient RAM and internal memory (expandable through memory cards and Dropbox), decent camera (similar to cameras in flagship solutions), the screen is not the smallest size and a relatively capacious battery.

The Desire X, the latest smartphone in HTC's lineup at the time of this review, could become a bestseller in the second half of 2012 if the manufacturer doesn't make a mistake with its pricing. If the price of Desire X is higher than 14 thousand rubles, it will compete with Incredible S among other HTC products, which can still be found in stores for 13 thousand rubles (and in the secondary market this device is sold for 8-9 thousand rubles).

The outsiders of our comparison are models with the V index from both lines that have remained in HTC's arsenal today. The manufacturer provided the Desire V and One V with a stripped-down version of the Sense 4 software shell, outdated processors and a small amount of RAM. And if the "two-SIM" Desire V with a capacious battery and a nice design can still find its buyer, then One V runs the risk of quickly disappearing from the market, especially after the appearance of Desire X on it.

Competition among smartphone manufacturers is becoming more and more serious every year, so buyers are often at a loss as to who should be trusted more. Many prefer not to experiment and purchase gadgets from trusted companies. One of these is the Taiwanese company HTC. Its model range is quite diverse, so it is quite difficult for buyers to decide which device to choose from the presented manufacturer for everyday use. However, our rating of HTC smartphones, which deserve the most attention, will help ease the difficult choice.

The Best Cheap HTC Smartphones

HTC produces devices of all price ranges, so even lovers of budget electronics should pay attention to the lineup of an Asian company. Smartphones in this segment attract attention with good build quality and reliability, while the cost of smartphones within 10,000 rubles sometimes becomes a pleasant surprise for buyers, since at first glance the gadgets seem much more expensive. In addition to the basic functionality, phones are equipped with some additional features that are often found only in higher-end models.

1. HTC Desire 530

Among the "state employees" of the Taiwanese company, the inexpensive but good Desire 530 smartphone stands out qualitatively. The stylish and neat model in a polycarbonate case attracts, first of all, with its pleasant design and a bright 5-inch screen with Super LCD technology and HD resolution. Despite the fact that budget smartphones usually operate on short ranges of network coverage, the phone in question interacts perfectly with 3G and 4G, as well as LTE-A up to Cat-4. The rear camera also performs well, which, with an 8 MP matrix, is equipped with an F / 2.4 aperture, which allows you to take good photos in daylight. The internal memory of the Desire 530 is quite small - 16 GB, however, an additional microSD slot allows you to use memory cards up to 2 TB.

Advantages:

  • excellent 2200 mAh lithium-polymer battery;
  • clear high-quality sound of the speaker and headphones;
  • original design;
  • bright and color-rich display;
  • NFC support (the ability to make contactless payments via Android Pay);
  • low price.

Flaws:

  • rather weak hardware: Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chip and 1.5 GB of RAM;
  • support only one sim card.

2. HTC Desire 650

Desire 650, the most popular budget mobile phone today, received improved characteristics compared to the previous model: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 4 cores and 2 GB of RAM. It works really fast, so when choosing an inexpensive model, it is better to buy this particular smartphone, spending a couple of thousand more, but at the same time getting a qualitatively new level of performance. Externally, the device is also very attractive due to the stylish case with rounded corners and a pleasant 5-inch HD screen covered with Gorilla Glass. The rear camera of the device shows itself much better: judging by the reviews of smartphone owners, 13-megapixel optics with F / 2.2 aperture are able to shoot perfectly not only during the day, but also at night. It is worth speaking well about the quality of the connection of the device: support for 4G LTE-A Cat.4 networks allows you to always stay in touch and use the mobile Internet at amazing speed.

Advantages:

  • excellent smooth operation of the system;
  • microSD support up to 2 TB;
  • original approach to design;
  • 2200 mAh lithium polymer battery;
  • excellent build quality.

Flaws:

  • support for only one SIM card;
  • heats up noticeably under load.

The best HTC smartphones with a good camera

Decent optics on mobile devices in modern society is valued no less than long battery life. Not all manufacturers succeed in equipping smartphones with really powerful cameras, since the number of megapixels in the matrix is not the main indicator of the quality of shooting. Naturally, the price of phones with good optics is much higher, but buying a separate camera will cost more, and carrying an additional device with you is far from always practical. Luckily, there are a couple of slots in the HTC smartphone rankings for gadgets that give owners the best photography experience.

1. HTC Desire 10 Pro

The first TOP smartphone in the review is destined to be the Desire 10 Pro. A year ago, when the novelty was announced, the developers paid special attention to the detailed optics of the phone, which is capable of taking excellent photos in almost any conditions. Indeed, the main camera received a 20 megapixel matrix, laser autofocus and F / 2.2 aperture, due to which neither night time nor bad weather can prevent the user from taking a couple of excellent high-quality pictures. HTC engineers were also pleasantly surprised in terms of acoustics: both smartphone speakers stand out with good sound, and there is no need to complain about the sound of audio and video files in headphones. On many IT forums, the performance of the phone was given high marks: MediaTek's 8-core Helio P10 chip and 4 GB of RAM made the gadget incredibly fast. Users are especially pleased with the fact that you can buy a smartphone with the characteristics of a flagship for less than 19,000 rubles.

Advantages:

  • rich 5.5-inch Full HD screen;
  • support for 2 SIM cards, 4G LTE-A Cat-6 communication standard;
  • tempered glass Gorilla Glass;
  • price-functionality ratio;
  • the ability to expand the memory of SD-cards;
  • excellent 13 megapixel front camera.

2. HTC One M9 Plus

A couple of years ago, this gadget was considered one of the best phones from HTC, because a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a metal case and a fingerprint scanner on the front panel in one bottle were a very non-trivial set. Now the cost of a smartphone has decreased by almost 2 times, thanks to which the ratio of price and quality of a smartphone has become insanely attractive. Indeed, it is almost impossible to buy a top-end phone for 18,000 rubles. In addition to an interesting design, the device features fantastic dual optics with matrices of 20 MP (main sensor) and 2.1 MP (depth sensor). Such a phone can easily replace a real professional camera. It is worth noting a good 4 megapixel front camera with Ultrapixel technology, which captures every detail of the face.

Advantages:

  • high performance: 8-core Helio X10 Turbo chip and 3 GB of RAM;
  • slot for microSD up to 2 TB;
  • protective glass Gorilla Glass;
  • reliability in work;
  • assembly at the highest level;
  • excellent work of the 4G LTE communication module.

Flaws:

  • a relatively large body;
  • 2840 mAh batteries are not enough for such a screen resolution.

Best HTC Dual SIM Smartphones

If you analyze the market based on customer reviews of smartphones, you can create a kind of model of an ideal device. In addition to top-end technical specifications, excellent optics and attractive design, a smartphone must have slots for two SIM cards, since in today's society every second person has at least two mobile numbers. For a long time, HTC was a little dismissive of the trend of switching to two slots for SIM cards, but in the end they succumbed to the “fashion”, resulting in excellent flagships that are not only pleasant to use, but also practical.

1. HTC U11

Currently, the best HTC phone model is U11. This is a real grand market of current smartphones. The manufacturer offered a 5.5-inch display with Super LCD 5 technology and Quad HD resolution, thanks to which every pixel seems incredibly rich and bright. The latest model of tempered glass Gorilla Glass, IP67 protection and a reliable strong case make the smartphone almost invulnerable to all sorts of damage and malfunctions. The performance of this powerful smartphone seems to be limitless: the Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor and an incredible 6 GB of RAM leave even the most demanding applications without a chance. And, of course, we can not ignore the main innovation from HTC, which made the U11 unique: Edge Sense technology allows you to control the phone by squeezing the case, setting different functions for each degree of pressure. No other gadget in the world can boast of such an option.

Advantages:

  • 12 MP camera with optical stabilization and f/1.7 aperture;
  • front optics 16 MP;
  • built-in memory of 128 GB;
  • two SIM cards with VoLTE support;
  • fast charging function;
  • Sensor Hub tracker module for tracking physical activity.

Flaws:

  • missing.

2. HTC U Ultra

U Ultra with a large 5.7-inch screen is known not only for its performance and functionality, but also for the presence of an additional 2.05-inch display. With the main screen, everything is clear: Quad HD resolution, Super LCD 5 technology, amazing image. But what is the small screen at the top of the smartphone for? In fact, its purpose can be completely different: a notification bar, a quick access panel, a player, a weather widget, and much more. Without taking away the useful space of the main screen, the additional one makes the smartphone more practical. But not only in two displays lie the advantages of the device. The phone received excellent rear optics of 12 megapixels with laser autofocus and aperture F / 1.8 and no less worthy front 16 megapixels. Both SIM cards can work on VoLTE bands.

Advantages:

  • good performance: Snapdragon 821 chip with 4 cores and 4 GB of RAM;
  • mechanical button, fingerprint scanner;
  • module-tracker Sensor Hub;
  • excellent sound;
  • stylish modern design;
  • the speed of the system;
  • USB Type-C port, fast charging support.

Flaws:

  • mediocre 3000 mAh battery;
  • no classic headphone jack (wireless only).

3. HTC U Play

The next high-quality smartphone, in terms of characteristics, is somewhat inferior to previous models, but this does not make it less attractive. On the contrary, lowering the price to 18,000-19,000 rubles attracts much more buyers, because flagships in the middle price range are rare guests. The design of the device did not become innovative, but the image quality did not suffer from this: Full HD and 5.2 inches with Super LCD show an excellent combination of brightness and photo saturation. The classic case of the smartphone received a mechanical button with a fingerprint scanner and tempered glass, so there are no questions about the appearance of U Play. The performance has become almost imperceptibly lower: the 8-core Helio P10 chip can hardly be called weak or average, and 4 GB of RAM is more than enough for serious workloads and multitasking. Both SIM card slots do not work with VoLTE, but support for LTE-A Cat-6 is more than enough for comfortable networking.

Advantages:

  • front optics 16 MP;
  • very fast fingerprint scanner;
  • reliable strong case;
  • USB Type-C port, fast charging support;
  • built-in memory 64 GB, slot for microSD up to 2 TB;

Flaws:

  • weak 2500 mAh battery (autonomy is a little less than a day);
  • no standard audio jack.

Which HTC smartphone to buy

Popular and highly promoted brands are by no means a guarantee that their lineup is replete with high-quality novelties. Of course, the number of gadgets of the Taiwanese company cannot compete with those of Apple and Samsung. Nevertheless, choosing the best smartphone from the HTC brand can be very difficult, since the company has more than enough decent electronics. The buyer can be sure of the quality and reliability of the proposed phones. The only thing you need to choose is the appropriate design and characteristics for your own needs.

The technological boom that has been thundering on our planet in recent years makes smartphone manufacturers pretty nervous. No wonder, because in pursuit of customers they need to create truly high-quality gadgets, surprising potential buyers with various chips. At the same time, it is important to ensure that the correspondence between price and quality is always in harmony. This is how HTC decided to remind the whole world of itself by releasing a high-tech and modern smartphone HTC Desire 12+, a review of which was immediately posted on its website.

The novelty turned out to be ambiguous, because the device was immediately classified as budget, but inefficient. Yes, the gadget is in the price group up to 20 thousand rubles, but is it able to justify even such an amount? This, as it turned out, depends on the needs of the owner. If you do not overload it, then the phone will be enough to perform everyday tasks and run several applications.

HTC has existed since 2010, during which time the Desire line of phones has not changed much. The current novelty is no exception. The smartphone received the traditional rounded corners and smooth curves of the case. The only thing that the developers have not changed is their favorite glossy acrylic surface, which has long become a byword.

If HTC Desire 12+ is not put in a protective case, then its body can lose its beauty and gloss in a very short time. With daily use, prints remain on its surface, and stains quickly appear on it.

The back covers of HTC phones, made of acrylic, have an interesting feature: depending on the lighting, they begin to glare like water.

Design and ergonomics

The name of the HTC Desire 12+ has a “+” symbol for a reason. It directly indicates that the dimensions of the gadget are slightly increased. And this is actually true, because if the dimensions of the regular Desire 12 are 70.8x148.5x8.2 mm, then in the enlarged version everything is somewhat larger - 76.6x158.2x8.4 mm. However, despite this, the smartphone feels good in the hand, while the thumb can reach any control button. However, the feeling that the device is about to slip out of your hand can sometimes still bother.

Also, the transition between the case frame and the display may cause a little discomfort for especially demanding fans of HTC products. It is not perfectly smooth, so it is slightly felt. In addition, the smartphone does not have any protection against dust or moisture, so a protective case for it is a must.

Display

The HTC Desire 12+ is currently the only smartphone in HTC's product line to feature a large 6-inch screen. The aspect ratio is optimal - 18:9, so you can watch movies on the screen and not experience any discomfort. The display has a resolution of 1440x720, while the density is 268 pixels per inch. This is a traditional IPS display, which many budget smartphones are equipped with.

Given the fact that OLED panels are now popular (both among manufacturers and buyers), the gadget loses a little in this regard. The fact is that IPS displays lack that juicy brightness that pleases the eye in devices from other companies. It can also be unpleasantly surprised in bright sunlight, since the viewing angle at such moments is significantly reduced. If you tilt the phone in any direction, the sides of the screen will become blurry.

However, despite this, the HTC Desire 12+ screen still produces a beautiful picture, whether it's a movie, a game, or a simple application. In addition, the settings provide the ability to adjust the color temperature, so each user can adjust the screen brightness to suit their requirements.

But where the smartphone is in no way inferior to other flagships of the current year is the aspect ratio. Thanks to this, the device can be safely considered an ideal option for launching and viewing any multimedia content.

Equipment

HTC decided to please with a new smartphone, but in terms of packaging, they did not surprise us with anything new. In addition to the phone in the box, you can find standard instructions, a USB charger cable and a SIM card clip. Headphones, memory card, case and other accessories will have to be purchased separately.

Specifications of HTC Desire 12+

Despite the fact that the smartphone is included in the line of budget devices, its filling is represented by very productive elements.

The processor is a modern Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, which is equipped with eight Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of up to 1.8 GHz. In the current processor speed rating, this chip ranks 23rd. As a video chip, the manufacturer decided to use not so modern, but quite good in terms of Adreno 506.

In total, the company has developed and launched two Desire 12+ configurations on the market. In the first, the amount of RAM is 2 GB, and the total is 16 GB (of which about 8 GB is available to the user). The second configuration is 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of shared memory (about 20 GB available). If this amount seems a little to the user, then you can always buy a microSD memory card up to 2 TB. In general, the characteristics of HTC Desire 12+ evoke only positive emotions.

The phone is equipped with a large number of sensors, without which no modern gadget can do. These include light, proximity and motion sensors. On the back of the device is a fingerprint sensor that allows you to identify the owner with just one touch.

Performance

Unfortunately, the maximum pleasure from using all the delights of the Desire 12+ smartphone will not be achieved. The fact is that the vast majority of modern applications and websites are created with the expectation that they will be launched and opened on powerful devices, which the new HTC is definitely not. Yes, it is modern and equipped with some of the latest boards and chips, but they are clearly not designed to work with high-performance applications. Nevertheless, for its price range, the gadget is suitable.

The battery capacity of the Desire 12+ is 2965 mAh. This is quite enough to use the smartphone without additional charging for about two days. Of course, if you actively use the Internet, constantly watch videos or run games, then this time will be significantly reduced. In this mode of operation, one charge cycle is enough for about half a day. This is exactly what the main claims of users of HTC products are. For all the time of its existence, the company has not equipped any of its solutions with a capacious and productive battery that could work without recharging for a long time.

There is a standard test to determine the level of battery life - running a video lasting 90 minutes with the brightness added to maximum. Desire 12+ during such a procedure loses 20-25% of the total charge.

Unfortunately, the device does not support fast charging, so the best option is to connect it to the network at night or additionally charge it when possible.

cameras

The HTC Desire 12+ is equipped with a dual rear camera with a resolution of 13 and 2 megapixels, as well as an 8-megapixel front camera. This solution allows you to take pictures and videos of excellent quality, and then admire them on a bright display.

Photo

If the combination of two lenses is used differently in most modern smartphones, the second camera of HTC Desire 12+ serves only for the most optimal focusing on different objects, that is, it is not used as an additional lens. It is designed to recreate the "Bokeh" mode, in which the depth of color and background is determined as accurately as possible, as a result of which a realistic shot is created. Focusing during frame capture can also be adjusted manually by touching the objects you want to focus on with your fingers.

While this is a definite plus, the benefit of having a second camera can be minimal. The smartphone does not have optical stabilization of the captured frame, so a certain time may elapse between focus lock and the very moment of shooting (fractions of a second, but they decide how clear the picture will be).

If a user takes a photo with HTC Desire 12+ in poor lighting conditions, then he needs to prepare for the fact that the gadget will focus even longer. This, of course, will reduce the noise level in such images and improve the quality, but it will also take a little more time.

But what the company can definitely boast about is the most accurate color reproduction. The resulting photos are not compressed and are highly detailed.

Video

The maximum video resolution is 1920x1080 pixels, which allows you to shoot in HD 1080p. One of the interesting implemented features is the simultaneous recording of video and shooting a photo Video Pic. Unfortunately, the developers did not provide for adding any special effects like a screen filter, adding effects, or even simple recording in Slow Motion mode, although such functions are present in the vast majority of smartphones of previous generations.

Video settings are standard. The user can manually adjust the ISO, white balance, the simplest color effects (sepia, negative, etc.), exposure and use the scene selection mode.

Front-camera

As the love of selfies continues in the modern world, the HTC Desire 12+ comes with a powerful enough front camera to help you take crisp, clear shots. The maximum resolution is 8 MP. It is possible to set a timer up to 10 seconds. Thanks to the face detection function, the camera will always autofocus exactly on the user.

There is a convenient shooting enhancement mode that allows you to set the required parameters in real time and achieve perfect photos.

If necessary, the user can record video in HD 1080p (with a maximum resolution of up to 1920x1080). If you are shooting photos or videos in poor lighting conditions, the LED flash will always come to the rescue. It, of course, is not as bright as on the back side, but it can still illuminate everything at a distance of 1-2 meters.

Sound and music playback quality

Speaker placement has always been a contentious issue in the smartphone world. Each manufacturer is confident in its own rightness, as a result of which, in different phones, the speakers are located on the back side, below or on the sides. In HTC Desire 12+, the developers decided not to follow the corporate style of the company (in most devices, the speaker is located on the back, in close proximity to the camera), but placed it just below, on the right.

This does not affect the quality of music playback, but such an arrangement can cause a little discomfort, because it is this place that blocks the palm of a person when he holds the phone in his hand. In order to listen to music or watch movies with maximum comfort, you will have to get used to holding the phone in a certain way.

The speaker itself is monophonic (only one). While most competitors are equipped with stereo, HTC decided: since the model is budget, then the "stuffing" should be appropriate.

If for some reason the owner of this smartphone is not satisfied with the sound from the speaker, then you can always use headphones. They have a standard 3.5mm jack.

Communication options

The HTC Desire 12+ has two SIM card slots, which increase your communication options but significantly increase battery consumption. To access the Internet there is a built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 module with a standard range. If there are no obstacles between the signal source and the smartphone, communication will be maintained at a distance of up to 20 meters.

The gadget also has Bluetooth 4.2 for fast file transfer between devices. Despite the fact that few people use this feature now, the developers still equipped the device with the latest version of this chip.

The call quality of the phone is standard - both subscribers can hear each other perfectly. This is mainly due not only to the high-quality microphone and speaker, but also to the built-in noise reduction function.

Operating system

The new HTC Desire 12+ is characterized by duality in terms of smartphone management. On the one hand, it, like the vast majority of devices in 2018, is controlled by the innovative Android 8.0 Oreo system. On the other hand, the developers did not miss the opportunity to integrate their own HTC Sense software into the shell. Fortunately, the repetition of functionality is minimal, many things are not duplicated, so the combination of the operating system and the HTC shell will not cause any discomfort.

The OS itself appeared a little over a year ago. It comes with a lot of cool features, including:

  • different notifications for events in different applications;
  • disabling background processes that are not used by the user after a certain time;
  • reducing the load on the processor of browser tabs that are not used by the user;
  • new "window" mode when viewing video files;
  • "smart storage" - a function for deleting files synchronized for more than 90 days with cloud storage. If synchronization is disabled, files remain untouched;
  • Improved auto-completion of forms in applications or browser (search engines, logins for authorization, etc.).

autonomy

Since the HTC Desire 12+ smartphone is positioned as a budget option, the corresponding battery is installed in it. Its capacity is 2965 mAh, which may well be enough for 1-1.5 days of phone operation. The device does not have a modern USB-C connector for fast wired charging, not to mention wireless.

If you set automatic screen brightness adjustment, connect data synchronization, turn on Wi-Fi and do not block the display, then one charge cycle will last for 4-5 hours. Quite expected result for a smartphone in this price range.

That is why all users of the gadget can be recommended to always put it on charge at night or use every opportunity during the day if the need arises.

Smartphone pros and cons

The main advantage of HTC Desire 12+ is an almost perfect compromise between price and quality. For serious tasks and working with many applications at the same time, it will not fit unequivocally, but it will cope with the everyday needs of an ordinary user perfectly.
Also among the advantages can be attributed to a modern operating system that quickly and accurately processes all ongoing processes and quickly responds to user actions. This is clearly evidenced by multiple reviews of HTC Desire 12+ by various users and testers.

In general, the phone stands out for its good quality, stylish appearance and large display.

The disadvantages include the following:

  • long camera focus;
  • lack of fast charging;
  • lack of NFC.

The last point deserves some attention. Now, when all companies have taken a steady course towards innovation, HTC has not implemented one of the main technological innovations of recent times in its smartphone - the gadget does not have the possibility of contactless payment from bank cards (and support for Android Pay, respectively). To some, this may seem insignificant, but for some, the absence of clear signs of technological progress will seem like a significant disadvantage.

Comparison with competitors

Any device has analogues with which they can be compared. Comparing HTC Desire 12+ with competitors is by no means an exception, and here are some smartphones that can be safely put on a par with this phone.

Attention! All the smartphones below are in the same price segment (up to 20 thousand rubles)!

Honor 9 Lite

Inexpensive, nimble and stylish device that will appeal to unpretentious users in terms of functionality. Its main difference from the Desire 12+ is the smoother camera operation, which quickly focuses on selected subjects and takes excellent pictures. The downside is that the user interface is difficult to learn and takes some getting used to, but the gadget is a direct competitor to HTC Desire 12+.

Nokia 6

A budget Android smartphone (although many people still can't get used to the Nokia + Android combination), which has two undeniable advantages over the Desire 12+. This is a more functional camera and stereo speakers that produce better sound. However, you can’t do without a fly in the ointment, and in Nokia it has become a battery that discharges much faster even without using applications.

ZTE Nubia Z17 Lite

This smartphone is good in everything, but it runs an outdated version of Android 7.1. In general, all its characteristics are very similar to the Desire 12+, however, ZTE can be used a little longer, since its battery capacity is 3200 mAh (against 2965 mAh in HTC).

Final review

If you want to purchase a budget smartphone with nice functionality, released among the new products of 2018, then the choice is unambiguous - this is the HTC Desire 12+, a review of which should help you decide. It will easily satisfy all the needs of the average user and allow the owner to stand out thanks to the stylish design and bright display.
