Rural bloggers. A family from the village makes money on a YouTube channel

Not everyone will decide to move to a permanent place of residence in the countryside. The Khoroshevs family made their choice and for almost four years they have been living in their own house in the Volgograd Region.

The family has chickens, cows and much more. The film crew took a short tour of the property. Khoroshev, despite the fact that they live far from urban civilization, skillfully use its products: they have mastered a new profession - a blogger. They show their animals and their farm to subscribers. They have the "Family in the Village" channel, which has almost 170,000 subscribers.

Their story is very similar to those that great-grandmothers from the 20th century tell their great-grandchildren. Anton and Alevtina were born in the village, after they graduated from school they moved to the city. He went to the army, and she continued her studies.

“We got to know each other in the city. For some time we still lived in the city, then we realized that we didn’t pull financially. Moreover, without their own home. As a result, we decided to return to the village to my homeland, ”said Anton Khoroshev, the head of the family.

The stone jungle had all the comforts, we lived in a rented apartment. After the wedding, it was difficult for the head of the family to find a well-paid job. It was impossible to hesitate, children were already born. Anton admitted that the decision to move to the village was not easy, his wife doubted for a long time. Now he does not regret it at all.

“When our dad is doing something, repairing something, twisting drills, my son is with him all the time. It will be the same, ”Alevtina noted.

For Anton, family is sacred. He is a breadwinner. In his house he does everything with his own hands. It was then that the idea came to create a video blog about life in the village. Judging by the popularity of the channel, city dwellers love the story of how to survive on the farm. Well, the Khoroshevs have additional income from this.

On the family's channel, there are no recommendations on the style of clothing, and they will not tell about the secrets of beauty. The heroes of the videos show without any pathos how to catch fish with a pitchfork or how to give birth to a cow. The Horoshevs hope that residents of megacities will appreciate their work. And they certainly won't think that life in the village is very boring.

With the proliferation of Internet technologies, virtual life on the Internet is more and more like ordinary life. But of course only is like, but does not replace it in any way.

So the inhabitants of rural areas are included in the number of active inhabitants of the planet YouTube and are slowly beginning to compete with “urban” bloggers. And this is good. Those who live in the countryside, breathe clean air and eat organic food - such people think and feel differently.

Village bloggers are people who are actively filming and uploading videos with tips on life outside the city. They have real knowledge of gardening, vegetable gardens, household. Every day they are watched by thousands of people who want to learn more about rural life.

Village bloggers' channels will be useful for those who are going to move out of town or want to develop in the agricultural sector. Tips are designed for both beginners and professionals. To get the most out of it, you need to know the best bloggers in this area.

Spouses Antonand Alevtina Khoroshevy from the Volgograd region have their own blog about rural life on YouTube. Quite unexpectedly, it turned out that a person who is far from rural romance and stuck out in the city for days on end will be very curious to watch a family “from another reality”.

Villagevs. city

Both Alevtina and Anton were born in the village. After graduating from school, both had to move to the city - after graduation at school, the girl went to Volgograd to continue her studies, and the guy went to the army, and when he returned, he decided to stay in the city.

The couple met back in 2009, everything started spinning - they got married. Then the question arose: how to provide for the family? Anton started looking for a job, but he could not find anything in his specialty (he is an assembler of electronic equipment and instruments), all around were the vacancies of a security guard, a seller, a loader with a mediocre salary of 10 thousand rubles. And for a family that did not even have their own housing in the city, this is tearful little.

Then Anton began to think about whether to return to the village? Only now together. With my wife. True, he was afraid of her reaction to such an important proposal. And rightly so he was afraid. At first, Alevtina did not want to return to the measured, sometimes boring village life, but after a while she nevertheless agreed.

New / old life

We went to the Stavropol Territory, native to Anton. They settled in a small farm. The head of the family got a job as an electrician, the earnings were small, but the family was given housing from work, and they began to cultivate a garden.

Children appeared: Yegor and Kostya. We started thinking about moving and earning extra money. Then the first YouTube channel was launched. There Anton talked about various products, but, as we know, there are too many of these nowadays, so the number of interested subscribers did not grow.

The head of the family began to think about what to shoot videos. He turned to a friend from the city for advice, and he threw up the idea of \u200b\u200ba "rural" canal. Then the blog "Family in the Village" appeared, which has existed for 3 years. About 170 thousand people are subscribed to it, and especially for them, Anton and Alevtina (with the participation of children) without any pathos talk about many simple unknown things: how to catch fish with a pitchfork or how to give birth to a cow.

Income is growing

Earnings on the YouTube channel and Anton's official salary together give a good result. The family was even able to buy their own house with a large plot and expand their household.

The couple is ready to expand even more and delight more and more people with new releases.

Alevtina Khorosheva was born and raised in the village. Then, like most graduates of rural schools, she left to study in the city. She met her future husband in Volgograd in 2009. Anton is also rustic. He served in the army and stayed in the city for some time. Young people got married. However, it soon became clear that it was hard to live in the city without a place to live, and it was impossible to earn a lot of money.

Anton moved from one job to another. By profession, he is an assembler of electronic equipment and devices. I was looking for a job in my specialty for a long time, but did not find it. Of the available vacancies, there were only a security guard, a loader and a salesman. The salaries were about the same everywhere - 10 thousand rubles. Money for life was sorely lacking. Anton had to ask his parents for help, which weighed heavily on him.

The young man decided to return to the village. Most of all I was worried about how my wife would react to this decision. At first Alevtina was against it. She said that it would be boring in the village, but then she agreed. Young people went to the Stavropol Territory, home to Anton, where he got a job as an electrician. I received the same 10 thousand, but they gave me housing from work. At the same time, the family began to cultivate their own garden. Spending on food has dropped dramatically. Life was getting better.

We lived in a small farm, in which there were fewer and fewer people, - recalls Anton Khoroshev. - When we had children, Yegor and Kostik, we decided to move out of there little by little. It was necessary to arrange them in a kindergarten, school, think about their future.

At that moment, the young people thought that they should find some more income. Then Anton decided to open his first YouTube channel. True, at first it didn't work out. The channel was about goods. When it turned out that the channel was unpopular, Anton began to think about what might be of interest to the viewer. A friend who has lived in the city all his life suggested an idea - to open a channel about rural life.

This is how the "Family in the Village" channel appeared. For almost three years now, Anton and Alevtina have been showing viewers how to give birth to a cow, make a snail meal or fish with a pitchfork. Village bloggers already have almost 170 thousand subscribers. Moreover, the blog generates a steady income.

Including thanks to the channel, we were able to earn money for our own housing, - says Alevtina. - It gives a good increase to the salary. We plan to further develop our agriculture. We are not going to dwell on what we have.

The Horoshevs moved into a new house this summer. By October, they built a sennik, hayed it, repaired the barn and reaped the harvest. The family keeps cattle, geese, chickens, ducks. Right behind their huge section there is a river where there are a lot of fish. In short, Khoroshev has something to show and something to tell his viewers.

- This is a goby Peach - because it is light. But Ryzhukha and Nochka - she is already an adult heifer, - says Anton, showing his barnyard. - And here the hens peck a watermelon. I think the next purchase from our farm will be a cow. There is room for two more cows.

A blog for a young family is not only a source of income. Anton and Alevtina sincerely love the countryside and country life. They want to attract interest to the village and from the townspeople. However, with a reservation. Now many people dream of a house in the village, but not everyone understands how the village life actually works. As a result, reality does not always meet expectations and some of the romantics return to the city.

The Horoshevs want to show people how rural life actually works. Just so that those wishing to move to the village could weigh their strengths and make an informed decision. Viewers of the channel will learn what difficulties they may face and how to solve them. Not all channel videos are fun. The Khoroshevs are not silent about their problems either.

- Life is cheaper here, - says Anton. - We have our own products: vegetables, fruits, milk ... We make cottage cheese ourselves. Its meat and fish. And there is expanse for the kids. We chose a larger village, since there are kindergartens and a school here, but there is also more freedom. Children have a place to run and play. As for the channel, we receive a lot of messages. Some write that thanks to our channel they decided to move and are not afraid of difficulties. Others, on the contrary, realized that they would not be able to live in the village.

Hours of traffic jams, stuffy crowds of eternally rushing people, faceless high-rise buildings, expensive food, eternal stress ... Many residents of large cities constantly suffer from such problems. Some prefer to endure, fearing to abandon the burdensome, but already familiar way of life and go into the unknown. But recently another tendency has been observed: the townspeople are beginning to voluntarily move to villages for permanent residence.

Archpriest Andrei Tkachev: The village is the soul of Russia

To some, such a prospect may seem rather frightening - fears are caused by the lack of work, leisure, usual comfort, numerous friends and acquaintances, and so on. However, some, despite their fears, still take this step. And what is typical - they are not disappointed. One by one, all the questions are somehow removed, and people begin to live in complete harmony with themselves and with the world around them.

Recently, the documentary TV channel RTD premiered a film about such "Russian downshifters" - a married couple who abandoned city life and moved to the countryside. Anton and Alevtina Khoroshev both grew up in the village and both at some point moved to the city, where they met and started a family. They lived in Volgograd, but they could not earn a lot of money, and there were problems with finding a job.

And so Anton decided to return to the village again. At first, the wife resisted, saying that it would be boring in the village, but then she agreed, and the young people moved to a small farm home to Anton. They started their own farm: a vegetable garden, chickens, cows - as a result, they began to spend much less on food. The head of the family got a job as an electrician. And then the family, in which two children appeared at that time, had their own youTube channel telling about rural life. The blog became popular, and young people from its monetization had a good increase in their salaries, which they manage to support two children and a fairly large farm hundreds of kilometers from large settlements.

In the Khoroshevs blog they talk about the wisdom and simple joys of village life. How to harvest hay, milk a cow, fix a tractor or make sour cream from homemade milk - these are common things for a village man, but so exotic and unknown for a city person. And, judging by tens of thousands of views and comments, rural life is interesting and attractive to many, especially the townspeople.

The example of the Khoroshev family is far from the only one today. More and more people decide to leave their homes and go to the villages, exchanging the bustle of the city for a measured village life. At the same time, someone, like Anton and Alevtina, maintains video blogs, where he shares his life with others.

So, for example, the author of a YouTube channel "Forest Trails" Vadim was an ordinary manager, lived and worked in the city, went out with friends. At some point, I realized that money is not the main thing in life, I felt out of place, dropped everything and left for a taiga village. I got myself a Malamute dog, a farm with chickens, fishes, picks mushrooms in the forest and feels happy.

Or another channel - "Village Diary" hosted by Andrey, a forty-year-old resident of the Pskov region. Its author, like other "village bloggers", once moved from the city and now tells viewers about rural life. At the same time, his difference, according to Andrei himself, is that he earns all the money with his own hands in the same village and reveals in his videos how he succeeds. For example, he breeds rabbits.

It is clear that rural farming is time-consuming. However, immigrants find themselves interesting and useful activities in addition to running this economy and video blogs. So, 28-year-old Victoria lived in the city of Zapolyarny, Murmansk region, where she received the education of a designer, and got married. Since childhood, she loved to come to the village of Lyamtsa in the Arkhangelsk region. This love made her, together with her husband, exchange the city for a village house on the shores of the White Sea. And after moving, she decided to recreate one of the old salt pans that once existed here, while preserving the old salt mining technologies. Moreover, one of the related goals of the family is the development of rural tourism. To implement her idea, Victoria created a project on the Planeta.ru crowdfunding platform, where she announced fundraising for the restoration of the saltworks - since the end of August, she has already collected 53% of the required amount.

“With my project, I want not only to restore the old craft, but also to prove that even in remote and small villages there is work and many interesting activities,” the project description says.

Several years ago, the most beautiful film "Atlantis of the Russian North" was shot, which took place thanks to donations. One of his heroes was also a family who left St. Petersburg for a wooden house in a half-forgotten village in the Arkhangelsk region. The head of the family, Mikhail, left a promising career in St. Petersburg, studied the skill of a carpenter-restorer and started restoring wooden chapels, while his wife, Anastasia, runs a household and raises three daughters.

There are many similar examples today. Sociologists have even developed a special concept that denotes this process - ruralization, that is, the outflow of the population from cities to the countryside. Someone leaves because of the impossibility to feed their families in the city, like our first heroes, the Khoroshevs. For others, the village is a return to their roots, a rejection of the frantic rhythm of the city bustle in order to think and comprehend their life, as well as the desire to work with their own hands on their land.

And this trend is extremely favorable for today's Russia with its overpopulated megalopolises and practically dying out regions and villages that need to be developed. And, of course, if we want to revive Russian culture and tradition, we cannot do without restoring our villages - sources and keepers of identity.
