Tab S2 looks standard by Samsung standards and is not bad in comparison with other tablets on the market. It has narrow bezels on the sides, and the top and bottom are wide just enough to be comfortable to hold while watching a movie or playing.

There are four profiles available: Basic, AMOLED Movie, AMOLED Photo and Reading Mode, as well as Adaptive Display that automatically launches the desired profile based on content and conditions of use. You can select any profile manually. Each of them differs significantly in terms of color display, white balance and brightness.
About brightness. The standard indicators of Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 become about 375 cd / m2 and depend on the number of light colors. But it is worth activating automatic regulation and going out into direct sunlight, as the brightness easily rises to 700 cd / m 2. Almost no one has such indicators. In combination with the anti-glare filter, the clarity of the picture and the readability of the screen remains at the highest level in any case.
In addition to everything, there is a coating against grease stains, as well as a protective glass. Due to the small thickness, I had to put a thinner coating instead of Gorilla Glass 4. In terms of appearance, the iPad mini has a slight advantage, and aluminum is still more practical than soft-touch plastic, but this does not mean that the Tab S2 is significantly inferior in materials or design.

Both devices are equipped with high-quality stereo speakers with excellent headroom. In my opinion, the iPad mini 4 places more emphasis on the performer's voice, while the Tab S2 focuses on the instrumental part.

Now I will not consider the power buttons and volume rockers, but focus only on the central button under the screen (and two touch buttons next to it in the Tab S2). It is customary to scold SuperAMOLED matrices for poor rendering of white, well, let's start our comparison with it. I was surprised to find that even the white display on the Tab S2 is better than the iPad mini 4. A direct comparison shows that the mini 4's display is a little yellow and not as bright.
When displaying black, the iPad mini 4 shows very good results for the IPS-matrix, but with this color, the advantage is traditionally on the side of SuperAMOLED. If you open a completely black picture, you get the feeling that the display is completely turned off, while on the mini 4 the picture looks like a dark-dark gray screen.

I deliberately simultaneously flipped through desktops on devices, launched various pages in the browser and played the most powerful toys on them.
